Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Viva beach Apartments on Sherif Khimshiashvili Street, I wasn’t expecting much from the exterior. But you know what? Sometimes the best places in Batumi are the ones that surprise you, and this five-star spot absolutely delivered in ways I didn’t see coming.

The thing about this place is that it gets the balance right between feeling like a proper apartment (you’ve got your own kitchen, which honestly saved me a fortune on meals) and having those little luxury touches that remind you you’re on vacation. The apartments themselves are spacious – I mean actually spacious, not that cramped “European cozy” thing you sometimes get. My balcony had this partial sea view that was perfect for morning coffee, and the air conditioning actually worked properly, which if you’ve spent any time in Batumi during summer, you know is not a given. The kitchen came stocked with decent cookware too, so I could whip up breakfast with stuff from the local market just down the street.

What really sold me on this place though was the location – you’re about a three-minute walk from the beach, but far enough back that you don’t get the constant noise from the Boulevard at night. I could hear the waves when I had the windows open, but not the party crowds stumbling home at 3 AM. The neighborhood has this nice residential feel during the day, with a few local cafés nearby where the coffee’s actually good and costs about a third of what you’d pay closer to the tourist strip. There’s a small grocery store practically next door, and if you walk five minutes toward the old town, you hit some fantastic Georgian restaurants that most tourists never find. The 9.1 rating makes total sense when you consider that you get hotel-level service (they sorted out my late check-in without any fuss) but with the freedom to live like a local for a few days. The staff actually seemed to care about making sure everything worked properly – my shower pressure was better than my apartment back home, honestly. Sure, it’s not beachfront, but sometimes being just off the main drag is exactly what you want, especially if you’re planning to stay more than a couple nights and want to feel less like a tourist.

  I really liked it, I lived up to my expectations! It was clean. All the little things like slippers, towels, soap, gel, shampoo, cutlery. A panoramic view from the window to the sea. There are grocery stores, dining room, cafes and shopping center nearby. Pleasant and prompt host ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
