I could walk to the Boulevard in about five minutes, but when I wanted to escape the crowds, there are these quiet side streets perfect for evening strolls. The apartment I stayed in had this balcony overlooking the water – not huge, but big enough for morning coffee while watching the fishing boats head out. Parking was surprisingly easy too, which anyone who’s driven in Georgian cities will appreciate. The building’s got this secure garage situation that gave me peace of mind. One thing to note: if you’re a super light sleeper, bring earplugs. It’s not loud exactly, but you’ll hear some street activity and the occasional late-night reveler wandering back from the casino district. Nothing terrible, just city sounds being city sounds. The wifi was solid throughout my stay, and the air conditioning actually worked well during those humid July evenings. I’ve stayed at places claiming similar ratings where the AC was more decorative than functional, so this was a pleasant surprise.
