I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name Sea View Hotel On the Seaside, I thought it sounded a bit redundant. But you know what? After staying there, I get it. This place is so committed to those ocean views that they literally put it in the name twice, and honestly, they’ve earned the right to brag about it.

The location on Sherif Khimshiashvili Street is actually perfect if you know Batumi at all. You’re basically a two-minute walk from the beach, but here’s the thing most people don’t realize – you’re also close enough to the old town that you can easily wander over for dinner without dealing with the chaos of the main tourist strip. I mean, you’ll still hear the waves from your room (which is incredible), but you won’t get the constant stream of late-night revelers that some of the beachfront places deal with. The five-star rating isn’t just for show either – everything from the lobby’s marble floors to the way they handle your luggage feels genuinely upscale, not just expensive for the sake of it.

What really got me was the attention to detail that you only notice when you’re actually living there for a few days. The breakfast spread changes subtlely based on what’s in season locally – I had some of the best khachapuri outside of a Georgian grandmother’s kitchen. The staff actually remembers your name after the first day, which sounds small but makes such a difference when you’re trying to get restaurant recommendations or figure out transport. And speaking of the rooms – yes, the sea views are spectacular, but what I loved most was how quiet everything was. The windows must be seriously well-insulated because even on the higher floors, you get the view without the constant sound of traffic from the boulevard below. The Wi-Fi actually works (I was working remotely part of the time), and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine, which has definitely not been my experience at every hotel in Georgia.

The whole place just feels like they thought about what travelers actually need rather than what looks good in photos. There’s covered parking if you’re driving, which is harder to find in central Batumi than you’d think, and the concierge genuinely knows the area – not just the obvious tourist spots but the little wine bars and family restaurants that locals actually go to. With a 9.2 rating, you’d expect it to be good, but this place manages to feel both polished and authentically Georgian, which is honestly a pretty rare combination in a beach destination that’s become as popular as Batumi has.

Hotel in Batumi booking should be done early, especially during summer season when the city hosts internationally celebrated music festivals and beach events at modern venues.
