When I first spotted Sea & City Charm on Lermontov Street, I’ll be honest – the name had me a bit skeptical. But you know what? Sometimes these places surprise you, and this three-star spot genuinely delivers on both parts of its promise. The location is actually pretty brilliant if you know Batumi at all – you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Black Sea coast, but tucked away on a quieter residential street where you won’t hear the boulevard crowds until you want to.

What really struck me about this place is how they’ve managed to capture that old Batumi charm without feeling stuffy or overdone. The building itself has this sort of weathered elegance – think traditional Georgian architecture that’s been lovingly maintained rather than flashily renovated. I mean, you can actually open the windows here (which sounds silly until you stay at one of those sealed hotel boxes), and the morning breeze carries just enough sea salt to remind you where you are. The rooms are honestly more spacious than I expected for a place this size, and while the furnishings aren’t going to win any design awards, everything feels solid and comfortable. The beds are actually decent – I’ve stayed at fancier places in Batumi where I barely slept.

Here’s the thing though – the real magic happens when you start exploring from here. You’re close enough to walk to Europe Square and the dancing fountains, but far enough from the main tourist drag that you’ll discover those little family-run restaurants where locals actually eat. The hotel staff (and I’m not just saying this) genuinely know their neighborhood. They pointed me toward this incredible khachapuri place two blocks away that I never would’ve found otherwise, and gave me the heads up about which marshrutka routes actually run on time. Parking can be a bit tricky on Lermontov Street during summer evenings – just something to keep in mind if you’re driving – but honestly, once you’re here, you’ll probably want to walk everywhere anyway. The whole old town area unfolds around you, and you’ll find yourself stumbling onto those gorgeous balconied buildings and hidden courtyards that make Batumi special beyond just the seaside resort vibe. It’s one of those places where you feel like you’re staying in the real city, not just visiting it.

  Wonderful stay! The apartment had everything we needed and the view of the city and sea was amazing. The location is perfect — close to shops, restaurants, and the promenade. The host is very kind and responsive, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

  Квартира отличная, полностью соответствует описанию и фото. Интерьер красивый, ремонт свежий, здесь очень уютно и чисто – для меня это важная деталь в жилье. Для комфортного пребывания хозяевами здесь предусмотрено практически все: от кухонных мелочей, вроде штопора, и чистящих средств до пляжных полотенец. Отдельный плюс – это ортопедический матрас, на нем спится просто прекрасно. Удачное расположение в центре города, рядом супермаркеты и аптеки, кафе, булочная и кофейни. Из достопримечательностей в 200 м расположен дельфинарий и красивый парк с большим озером. Море всего в 6 минутах ходьбы, а с балкона открывается суперская панорама на город. Большое спасибо хозяйке, она всегда была на связи и подробно рассказала мне об окрестностях, посоветовала недорогой ресторан с вкусной грузинской кухней, за что ей отдельная благодарность!
