Ritsa Boutique Hotel Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Ritsa Boutique Hotel? I walked in expecting another generic three-star place, but honestly, this little gem on Zviad Gamsakhurdia Street has way more personality than half the expensive places I’ve stayed at in Batumi. The lobby hits you with this unexpected blend of modern Georgian design and boutique touches – I mean, someone actually put thought into the lighting here, which sounds silly but makes such a difference when you’re checking in after a long travel day.
The location is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re staying where actual Georgians live, not in some tourist bubble. You’re about a ten-minute walk from the main Batumi Boulevard action, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with drunk tourists stumbling around at 2 AM. There’s this great little bakery just two blocks down that the front desk guy told me about – locals line up there every morning, and now I understand why. The rooms themselves are surprisingly spacious for a boutique property, and I appreciated that they didn’t go overboard with trendy design that looks good in photos but is terrible to actually live in. The beds are properly comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the air conditioning actually works, which… well, let’s just say that’s not always a given in this part of the world.
What really won me over was the staff’s approach – they’re not trying to be your best friend, but they know their stuff. When I asked about getting to the botanical garden, the receptionist didn’t just point me toward a taxi. She explained which marshrutka to take, where exactly to get off, and mentioned that Thursday mornings are way less crowded. That kind of local insight is worth its weight in gold. The breakfast situation is solid too, though don’t expect some massive international buffet – it’s more like really good Georgian home cooking with a few continental options thrown in. I actually prefer this approach; you get proper khachapuri instead of sad hotel croissants. The whole place has this relaxed vibe that I really appreciated after dealing with the chaos of Tbilisi. Sure, it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury amenities, but sometimes you just want a clean, comfortable place run by people who care about what they’re doing. That’s exactly what you get here.

Reviews of Ritsa Boutique Hotel
What could be improved: Шумно по ночам, вокруг какие то строительные работы, много ресторанов,но это не к отелю)Good – Б from Belarus – August 28, 2025 (7/10)
Месторасположение, архитектура.
What could be improved: Завтрак..вообще ни о чём. Причем на столько что хоть он и входил в стоимость но за 6 дней мы завтракали только один раз, первый и последний. Неплохо было бы провести ремонт.Wonderful – Petr from Czech Republic – August 25, 2025 (9/10)
Klidný hotel v staré části Batumi
Awful experience, – Xiaoou from China – August 16, 2025 (1/10)
It is awful experience living in this hotel and affects the tourism experience in Batumi. Only good thing for this hotel is its location, and there is reception in the day who can help us communicate with property owner, no other good aspects anymore.
这是在此次格鲁吉亚旅行中最可怕的经历,直接毁了对巴统的印象。唯独好的也就是它的位置ok和白天在此工作的一位男前台可以英语交流帮助跟此房的私人业主协调,除此以外没有任何了。
What could be improved: It is private old property, inside it is all decoration, furnitures, curtains and facilities with 1980’s and 1990’s. We arrived at 23:00, the reception is a Turkey men, he can speak very little English has big challenge and barriers on communication, even I use App for Turkey translation. We were already very tired whenever we were in, only want to sleep, but he said Balabala, I said I don’t understand. Whenever we brought our heavy luggage’s by ourselves to 2nd floor room, he came to us to show a paragliding picture, we said no interest, he is still want to promote. In the room, the small is terrible with old, smoking, moldy, horribly it caused my son for allergic with coughing all nights. Especially it is very hot and humid, the air conditioning doesn’t work anymore. We opened the windows for some fresh air, but it is such noisy outside till 3am in the morning, outside it is with lady’s laughing and screaming, people”s talking, the sound of cars pressing on gravel roads and high-powered speakers, the roar of motorcycles, it is with chaos, either open the windows or not we could not sleep till 3am, and got up 7am again. I used to try to communicate with that Turkey guy, he said show me in your room, I think it is dangerous but let him to be in room, he said no issues the air conditioner is running (but no any refrigerating), and ignored such disgusting odor and outside noisy. Only he can use gestures and said tomorrow. In next day around 9am, the day shift is a guy with good English communication and helped us to change another two rooms, but they are still with very special old smell without breathe well, he helped to communicate with owner again to change other room with balcony, opening door is just ok., but whenever we did shower in the evening and found there shower faucet doesn’t work it is stuck .جيدة جداً – Hussam from Saudi Arabia – July 7, 2025 (7/10)

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the staff, who were friendly and professional. The check-in process was quick and smooth, and my room was ready without any delays.
The cleanliness of the hotel really stood out – the room was spotless, the bathroom was shining, and everything was well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, and all the amenities were in perfect working order.
The staff were exceptionally polite and helpful throughout my stay. Whenever I had a question or needed assistance, they were quick to respond and genuinely eager to help, which made me feel very well taken care of.
The overall atmosphere of the hotel was peaceful and relaxing – perfect for resting after a long day. The location was also convenient, with restaurants, shops, and public transport nearby.
All in all, I’m very satisfied with my experience and would definitely choose this hotel again in the future. If you’re looking for cleanliness, comfort, and great hospitality, I highly recommend this place.Exceptional – Azer from Azerbaijan – April 27, 2025 (10/10)
