I’ll be honest – when I first spotted Panorama Sea Tower on Sherif Khimshiashvili Street, I wasn’t expecting much from the exterior. But you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come in unassuming packages. This four-star place turned out to be one of those gems that actually lives up to its name, and I mean that literally – the sea views from the upper floors are absolutely worth the stay.

The thing about Batumi is that everyone talks about the flashy beachfront hotels, but honestly, being just a block or two back from the main drag has its advantages. You’re still walking distance from everything – the Boulevard, those weird dancing fountains, all the casino madness if that’s your thing – but you actually get some peace when you want it. The staff here genuinely seemed to care, which I wasn’t expecting from a mid-range place. Check-in was smooth, no weird deposit drama, and they had decent English which makes everything easier. The rooms are what you’d call modern-ish without being sterile, and the air conditioning actually works properly (trust me, this matters in Batumi summers).

What really sold me was the breakfast setup – they do this thing where it’s not quite a full buffet but more than continental, with some local Georgian touches mixed in with the standard hotel fare. The khachapuri wasn’t restaurant-quality but hey, it’s better than most hotel attempts at local food. The elevator can be a bit slow during busy periods, and the WiFi gets sketchy on the higher floors sometimes, but these are minor complaints really. If you’re planning to visit during peak summer season, book early because this place fills up with people who’ve figured out that you don’t need to pay resort prices to get a solid base for exploring the city. The location puts you right in the sweet spot where you can walk to the old town, hit the beach, or grab a marshrutka to the botanical garden without any hassle.

  I don't know where to start, everything was fantastic. After the bad luck with the first apartment I booked, I was lucky to find Timur. He is the best host in Batumi, and probably beyond. He was kind and waited for us almost until midnight (he didn't charge for late check in). The apartment was absolutely clean, very spacious and with all necessary accessories. There are shops nearby that are open 24/7, and the beach across the street, where there are always enough umbrellas and sunbeds. Wonderful country, wonderful people. I would like as many people from Serbia as possible to come and experience the beauty of Georgia. And yes, Timur always responds to messages. For parting, he gave us the traditional "Chacha" brandy. My rating 10+

  The room and staff were fantastic. For the same price, I previously stayed in Orbi City, 300 metres from the current apartment, and it was simply horrible. Here, everything is clean and in good condition, and the bathroom has toiletries and a full set of towels. Highly recommended!
