The staff here actually knows their stuff too – not just the scripted recommendations you usually get. When I asked about getting to the botanical garden, the front desk guy gave me this whole rundown about the best time to go and which marshrutka to catch (honestly saved me like an hour of wandering around). The rooms are what you’d expect from a five-star spot, but there are these little touches that show someone was actually thinking – good blackout curtains that actually block light, outlets where you need them, and the shower pressure is fantastic. I stayed on one of the higher floors and could see straight out to the Black Sea, which was pretty incredible at sunset.

Here’s the thing about this place – it’s got that boutique hotel feel even though it’s clearly designed to handle serious numbers of guests. The restaurant downstairs does this Georgian-international fusion thing that could easily be gimmicky, but they pull it off. Their khachapuri is legit (and I’m picky about this stuff), and the wine list has some really solid Georgian options you won’t find at every tourist spot. Parking was actually straightforward too, which if you’ve driven in Batumi, you know that’s not always a given. The whole area gets pretty lively in the evenings – you’re close enough to the casino district and the boulevard that you can walk to everything, but far enough that you can actually sleep. I stayed there during the shoulder season in late September, and while it was busy, it never felt overcrowded or rushed. The elevator situation could be better during peak times, but honestly, that’s pretty much every hotel in this part of town. What impressed me most was how the place manages to feel both polished and authentic – you get the service level you want without feeling like you’re in some generic international chain.
