Honestly, this four-star property gets the balance right between upscale comfort and actually being livable. The rooms are genuinely spacious (not just “spacious for Batumi” spacious), and I really appreciated the floor-to-ceiling windows – you get these incredible views of either the city skyline or glimpses of the Black Sea depending on which side you’re on. The beds are properly comfortable too, which isn’t always a given even in nice hotels here. What I found interesting is how quiet it stays despite being so central – the soundproofing actually works, unlike some places I’ve stayed where you hear every conversation from the hallway.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to experience Batumi without being stuck in the tourist bubble. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the Alphabet Tower and all that seaside craziness, but you can also duck into these little local cafés and wine bars that most visitors never find. There’s this Georgian restaurant just around the corner that the hotel staff recommended – can’t remember the name, but it’s the one with the blue awning – and it was genuinely better than the touristy spots near the beach. The staff here actually knows the neighborhood, which makes a difference when you’re trying to figure out where to eat or how to get around. Parking can be a bit tricky during summer months (welcome to Batumi), but the hotel has arrangements that work most of the time. Check-in was smooth, and they speak enough English to handle whatever you need without the awkward translation dance you sometimes get in smaller Georgian cities.
