Orbi City Hotel Official D Block Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Orbi City Hotel Official D Block on Sherif Khimshiashvili Street, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from the name alone. But you know what? Sometimes the most unexpectedly named places turn out to be gems, and this five-star spot in Batumi is definitely one of them.

The thing about staying here is that you’re right in the thick of things without feeling overwhelmed by tourist chaos. I mean, you’re close enough to the main action that you can walk to the Boulevard and the beach in about ten minutes, but far enough from the casino strip that you actually get decent sleep at night. The staff at check-in was genuinely helpful – not just going through the motions – and they actually knew the neighborhood well enough to give me solid restaurant recommendations that weren’t just the usual tourist traps. The rooms themselves have this modern feel that works really well, though I’ll say the air conditioning can be a bit aggressive, so you might want to adjust it when you first get in.

What really struck me about this place was how it captures that particular Batumi energy – you know, that mix of old Georgian charm with the new resort development that’s been happening along the coast. From my room, I could see snippets of the Black Sea between the buildings, and honestly, there’s something pretty satisfying about having coffee on your balcony while watching the city wake up below. The breakfast spread was better than I expected too, with actual local touches alongside the standard hotel fare. Parking was straightforward, which might sound boring but trust me, after driving around some of Batumi’s narrower streets, you’ll appreciate not having to stress about where to leave your car. The location puts you within easy reach of the cable car up to the botanical garden, and if you’re into the nightlife scene, the main entertainment district is literally a short walk away. I’d definitely come back – it’s one of those places that just gets the balance right between comfort and location without trying too hard to be something it’s not.

Reviews of Orbi City Hotel Official D Block

  • Actually place is good – Alex from Russia – August 25, 2025 (9/10)

    Nice location

What could be improved: Had no electricity for the first few hrs, and staff can't do anything coz of some kind of "programm bug".
TV also didn't work because only specially trained people know how to make it work, but they weren't in the hotel.
Human traffic jam in elevators probably because only 4 elevators from 6 are work. Maybe it's because the building still under construction.

  • Thank you, Nino – Ayman from Saudi Arabia – August 23, 2025 (9/10)

I would like to thank Nino for her professional work. She cares much about your convenience. She took every request seriously and made my stay so pleasant
The cleaning staff are very polite and nice. A big thank you to them too.
I would come again if I decide to visit Batumi in future

What could be improved: People at the reception is the biggest disappointment
An awesome place like this deserves to be run by professionals with good experience on how to treat guests and how to solve problems promptly and efficiently. Unfortunately most people there were the opposite. I could tell stories on how bad they performed from my own experience and from what I’ve seen while standing at the queue
Well, expect occasional power, water and internet off. Usually for short periods so not a big issue

  • The hotel is clean and great location. Don't include breakfast with your booking. Breakfast SUCKS! – Mrs from United States – August 18, 2025 (8/10)

The location was great and hotel was clean

What could be improved: The breakfast arrangement was terrible. The hotel has a partnership with a nearby restaurant for breakfast and the selections were terrible and restaurant's employees had zero customer service skills. Terrible foods and service

  • Very Good – Yasin from Dominica – August 14, 2025 (8/10)

Everything was good, but most of the time going up and down the building was so crowded that we had to wait about 20 minutes. In the end, we often had to use the stairs. However, the rooms were clean.

  • Value for money – Umashankar from Kuwait – August 8, 2025 (9/10)

It clean & good view from balcony

    What could be improved: nothing

  • Wonderful – Mariam from Georgia – July 30, 2025 (9/10)

What could be improved: ერთადერთი მინუსი ის იყო ჩვენთვის, რომ D ბლოკიდან პირდაპირ ვერ გავდიოდით პლიაჟზე და C მდე ასვლა და იქიდან გვიწევდა გზის გადაჭრა.

  • Wonderful – Farkhod from Uzbekistan – July 21, 2025 (9/10)

Location, new building, new room, comfy bed, amenities like tea and coffee. Good view to the sea.

What could be improved: Breakfast could be improved, bigger place to accommodate more guests. We had to wait for a table. Staff is excellent, work quickly to replenish food.

  • Weekend runaway – Temirlan from United Arab Emirates – September 2, 2024 (9/10)

I arrived late at night and my other booking did not answer my questions so I had to look for another option. I found this place and booked it right away. Managed to check-in through reception and the host sent me a message next day which was very nice of her.

What could be improved: Not much to say here. Pretty standard.

  • Wonderful – Shaqra from Kuwait – August 1, 2024 (9/10)

The view and the room were exactly like the pictures , plus the staff were helpful
