I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Orbi City ApartHotel on Sherif Khimshiashvili Street, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The building has this sleek, modern look that stands out against some of the older architecture in this part of Batumi, and you know what? That turned out to be a good thing. This four-star place sits in what I’d call the sweet spot of the city – close enough to feel connected but far enough from the main tourist chaos that you can actually get some sleep.

The aparthotel concept really works here, especially if you’re planning to stay more than a couple nights. Each unit feels more like a proper apartment than a cramped hotel room, which honestly makes all the difference when you’re trying to unpack and settle in. The kitchenettes are actually functional (I mean, you can cook real meals, not just heat up instant noodles), and the living areas have enough space that you don’t feel like you’re climbing over your luggage constantly. What struck me most was how quiet it stays – the windows do a surprisingly good job blocking out street noise, though you’ll still catch the occasional late-night reveler wandering back from the old town area.

The location grows on you once you start exploring. You’re maybe a fifteen-minute walk to the main waterfront action, but there’s something nice about being able to retreat to this quieter pocket of the city. There’s a decent grocery store just a few blocks away (trust me, you’ll want to stock that kitchenette), and I discovered this little bakery around the corner that does incredible khachapuri in the mornings. The staff seems genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions – they actually know the neighborhood and can point you toward the less touristy spots worth checking out. Sure, the building’s still relatively new so it lacks some of that old-world Georgian charm you might find elsewhere, but the trade-off is everything actually works properly. The wifi is solid, the air conditioning keeps up during summer heat, and I never had any issues with hot water – small things that matter when you’re trying to relax on vacation. It’s earned that 8.4 rating honestly, delivering on the practical stuff while giving you enough space and comfort to feel like you’re living in Batumi rather than just passing through.

  The view was nice (especially at night) and the room was clean and spacious. The price per night was also cheap.
  
  What could be improved: When we arrived, the receptionist could not tell us which number was our room, they told us to call the owner of the apartment and find out ourselves. The owner suggested that we cancel our booking reservation after paying with cash and not providing any receipt, which was weird??? The room was nice aside from the bathroom which does not have ventilation, as a result it was very smelly all day and the smell also leaked to the room. The balcony has a plastic protection which looks very low quality and dangerous and there is a gap between this and the balcony floor (we were afraid to take anything to the balcony in case it fell to the floor below!!!), also no table (other apartments had one). The elevators were extremely crowded during peak hours and fairly crowded during the whole day, sometimes we had to wait 15+ minutes to go up. Also after a city electricity blackout, they did not switch the electricity back on for our apartment for some reason (we could see that all other rooms had electricity) and we had to go back down to the reception to sort it out. When we asked the reception what happened they simply said that they forgot!? During our last night, when going back to our room, we heard someone screaming HELP from inside an elevator. Turns out that one of the elevators had malfunctioned and a couple was stuck inside. Apparently this may be a common occurrence because when we rushed to the reception to notify them, they seemed pretty calm and unbothered by this, they simply said that they called a technician and they could not do anything else (while the guy in the elevator was screaming his lungs out). The technician did come after all and when it opened, the girl inside seemed scarred for life, could not even stand up and was trembling. Overall a pretty poor experience.

  The Apartment was very nice and clean. We were 4 persons (two Adults two Kids) and we’ve had enough space. The view over Batumi was stunning. The Contakt was very friendly and helped us with everything. We will definitely come back and book this apartment again.

  Останавливались на 10 дней в апартаментах с отдельной спальней. Апартаменты отличные, чистые, фото соответствуют реальности. В апартаментах все исправно работало, есть посуда, постельное бельё и полотенца, утюг, фен, сушилка. Владельцы очень отзывчивые – встретили в аэропорту в 5 утра и довезли до жилья, всегда были на связи и откликались на просьбы и вопросы, принесли дополнительные полотенца по нашему запросу. Жили на 36 этаже, с балкона открывается потрясающий вид на море с невероятными закатами и горы.
