When I first walked up to Hello Batumi Apartment on Grigol Lortkipanidze Street, I wasn’t expecting much – I mean, it’s tucked away in this quieter residential area that honestly feels more like where locals actually live rather than the touristy waterfront strip. But that turned out to be exactly what made it special. This three-star place has that authentic neighborhood vibe that’s getting harder to find in Batumi these days, especially with all the glitzy casino hotels dominating the skyline.

The apartment itself surprised me with how spacious it felt – and I’m talking proper living space, not just a cramped hotel room with a mini-fridge they’re calling a “kitchenette.” The kitchen actually functions (I made coffee every morning and even attempted some khachapuri with ingredients from the little market down the street), and the balcony gives you this nice peek at everyday Batumi life. You’ll hear kids playing in the courtyard below and smell someone’s grandmother cooking something incredible around dinner time. The Wi-Fi works reliably, which matters if you’re trying to upload those sunset photos from the Boulevard, and the hot water pressure is actually decent – something I’ve learned not to take for granted in this part of the world.

What really sold me on the place was how the host genuinely seemed to care about making sure I knew the area. They pointed me toward this fantastic little bakery just two blocks over (trust me, skip the overpriced tourist spots near the cable car) and gave me the real scoop on which marshrutkas to take to get around without getting completely lost. The location works brilliantly if you want to experience Batumi beyond the seaside promenade – you’re close enough to walk to the old town in about fifteen minutes, but far enough from the late-night casino crowd that you’ll actually get some sleep. Plus, there’s decent parking nearby, which is honestly a miracle in this city. Sure, it’s not going to win any design awards, and the building itself looks pretty Soviet-era from the outside, but inside it’s comfortable and clean, with that slightly eclectic furniture mix that somehow works. For the price point and the genuine local experience, I’d definitely stay here again.

  room was comfy, but not the one that we booked, he took us to another room , we were 4 and there was only 1 large bed for two and 1 bed for one.
  
  What could be improved: location was so far, they said the new boulvard was 300-400 meters buts it's actually near 1 kilometer. there is nothing around the hotel, no markets, no pharmacy, tv wasnt working, wifi was so slow.

  My family and I checked in and stayed for 3 days, we turned up and the room was instantly ready. The hosts were extremely kind, friendly and welcoming and spoke English well so there were not any miscommunications. Very hospitable, especially Nino she provided us extra bedding and pillows, was there for us at every moment and didn’t hesitate to help. I would definitely recommend this is as a place to stay, it’s very affordable and not far from the city centre, the owners are beyond lovely and it was well worth the stay for me. We also were able to do an early check in and late check out at no extra cost so 100% I would stay here again 🙂

  Excellent service, the owners are very kind and try to help you as much as possible. The place is more beautiful than the pictures and is close to services and the beach. The furniture is in excellent condition and very clean. I advise everyone to use it.
