Monte Carlo Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Monte Carlo? I was expecting some Vegas-style glitz based on the name, but this four-star place on Ninoshvili Avenue is actually refreshingly understated for Batumi. I mean, don’t get me wrong – it’s polished and well-run – but there’s something almost European about how they’ve handled the interiors, which makes sense given Georgia’s whole vibe anyway.
The location really works in your favor here. Ninoshvili Avenue isn’t one of those crazy busy tourist strips, so you’re not dealing with street noise until 3am, but you’re still close enough to walk to the main action along the Boulevard. Actually, I found myself using it as a home base and just wandering – the botanical garden entrance is maybe a 15-minute walk if you cut through some of the residential streets (locals will point you in the right direction if you get turned around). The staff honestly seemed to know their stuff about getting around the city, which you don’t always find at mid-range places.
What I really appreciated was how they handle the practical stuff without making a big deal about it. Check-in was smooth, parking wasn’t a nightmare – you know how some hotels in Batumi can be with that – and the rooms had this comfortable, lived-in quality without feeling worn down. The bathrooms are properly updated, which matters more than you’d think after a long day of exploring. I stayed during shoulder season in late spring, so I can’t speak to how crazy it gets in peak summer, but the whole place felt well-managed rather than chaotic. The 7.4 rating makes sense to me – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s exactly what you want when you’re spending most of your time out in the city anyway. If you’re looking for something reliable without paying resort prices, and you want to actually experience Batumi rather than just hide in your hotel, this spot delivers on that front.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Batumi through trusted local agencies that provide insider knowledge about the best districts for experiencing the city’s resort atmosphere and maritime heritage.

Reviews of Monte Carlo
Exceptional – Irakli from Georgia – August 31, 2025 (10/10)
What could be improved: Best location
Very Good – Tamar from Georgia – August 27, 2025 (8/10)
Breakfast was very good and location is perfect.
What could be improved: there was a construction next to the hotel and workers were a bit noisy. Though the noise came after 10 o'clock in the morning, so it wasn't very disturbing.I enjoy my stay good location friendly staff – Saeed from Saudi Arabia – June 17, 2025 (8/10)
Very good location
Nice friendly staffgood location, but too dark room – Vildan from Kazakhstan – June 16, 2025 (8/10)
breakfast was incredible
friendly staff, perfect location
What could be improved: my room was on the first floor, there was a window lead to the wall of the opposite buidling, because of that room was dark like it is always late evening.
New building construction just 7 meters from my room, noise all day.Very Good – Arwand from Iraq – June 11, 2025 (8/10)
Location was perfect
Very kind hotel. close to the the beach and restaurants. Very good stuff. – Jenya from Israel – October 13, 2024 (6/10)
The location is perfect, close to the center of all restaurants and supermarkets.
The walking from the sea is less than 5 minutes to the main beach and to the central park which is very full of activities also in the evening.
The stuff was very kind and helped us in every question.
There is an elevator which helps for accessing the higher floors (not always exist in Georgia).
The restaurant has cooked each morning a porridge for the kids !!
What could be improved: The hotel isn't suitable for little kids.
The restaurant opens at 9 o'clock in the morning and it's very late for little children.
Also, there's about 3-4 breakfast options, because it's a boutique restaurant (which is suitable for older kids and etc.).
The balcony is straight to The Construction site and you can't use it properly.Great breakfast and great service, including the restaurant, receptionist, cleaning staff. – Kit from United States – September 7, 2024 (7/10)
Breakfast is exceptionally good
What could be improved: The carpet has a lot of stains on it. It looks pretty bad. The view of Room 104 is awful.Great location, budget hotel with nice breakfast, don’t expect a lot. – Dr from Saudi Arabia – July 29, 2023 (7/10)
The location is awesome, in front of Sheraton hotel, a few minutes walk from the beach and Batumi Boulevard. AC is great. Breakfast is variable and at a nice cafe.
What could be improved: The rooms are very small, walls and floor need maintenance.
Staff are not available and receptionist are not helpful except for Saba and the house keeping lady. The hotel barely deserves 3 stars and the pictures don’t reflect the truth.Very Good – Mikhail from Georgia – March 27, 2023 (8/10)
Good location.
Great breakfast.
Friendly personnel.
What could be improved: Window view in a wall.
One wall with condensation trails.Highly recommended. – Chai from Thailand – October 17, 2022 (8/10)
Spacious and well equipped room.
What could be improved: Floppy bed, the shower does not supply stable warm flow of water.
