It’s nestled on Zura Gorgiladze Street in this wonderfully peaceful residential area of Batumi, yet you’re still only a ten-minute stroll from all the seaside action. I mean, when you’re staying at most locations in the city center, you’re dealing with music blasting from the boulevard until 2 AM – here, you actually manage to get some rest.

The building itself has this quiet appeal that I wasn’t expecting from a three-star establishment. The lobby’s got these cozy wood touches and local artwork that feels authentic, not like someone just ordered “Georgian decor” from a catalog. During my visit, the front desk team – honestly, some of the most accommodating I’ve met in Georgia – pointed me toward this fantastic khachapuri place that locals love, not the touristy spots everyone suggests. The rooms are what you’d describe as pleasantly functional. Nothing luxurious, but the beds are genuinely comfortable (always a risk in this price range), and the bathrooms are contemporary enough that you don’t feel like you’re camping. I especially valued that they’ve got real blackout curtains – sounds trivial, but when Batumi’s summer sun starts shining at 6 AM, you’ll appreciate me noting it.

What truly distinguishes this place is how it fits into the neighborhood. Walk five minutes toward the shore and you reach the botanical garden’s entrance – ideal for morning runs before the tour buses show up. Head the opposite direction and there’s this charming market where babushkas sell the most amazing homemade churchkhela and fresh herbs. The hotel’s position means you can slip back for afternoon rests between beach visits, something that’s honestly a lifesaver during Batumi’s sticky summers. The staff obviously takes pride in caring for the place too – I observed they’re constantly adjusting small touches, whether it’s fresh flowers in the lobby or ensuring the WiFi actually functions in every corner (groundbreaking idea, I know). Sure, you won’t find a spa or room service, but for the price point, the 8.6 rating makes complete sense. It’s one of those places where everything simply functions without any drama, and sometimes that’s precisely what you want when you’re trying to discover a city rather than being spoiled in your room.

  Mamuka, the General Manager is a gem of a person. So helpful, always smiling, and always present. A real asset and a very good person.
  
  What could be improved: Breakfast was typical Russian style. Very few options for Vegetarians. The Hotel's interiors are dark shaded and look somewhat dull and depressing.
