Hotel 725 Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Hotel 725 on Fridon Khalvashi street, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like a pretty standard three-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the unassuming spots end up surprising you the most. This place sits right in the heart of Batumi, and I mean really in the thick of things – you’re maybe a seven-minute walk from the Boulevard where all the evening action happens, but far enough back that you’re not dealing with the casino crowd noise until 3 AM.

The thing about this hotel is that it feels authentically Georgian without trying too hard, if that makes sense. The lobby has this warm, lived-in quality – not fancy, but clean and welcoming in a way that makes you feel like you’re staying at a well-kept family place rather than some corporate chain. The staff actually remembers your name after the second day, which honestly caught me off guard. My room was on the fourth floor (there’s an elevator, thank god), and while it wasn’t huge, it had everything I needed – decent WiFi, a bathroom with proper water pressure, and a little balcony where I could drink my morning coffee and watch the city wake up. The AC worked great too, which you’ll definitely appreciate during those humid Batumi summers.

What really sold me on this place was its position in the neighborhood. You’re literally surrounded by the good stuff – there’s this fantastic khachapuri place about two blocks down that locals actually eat at, not just tourists. The Carrefour is super close when you need supplies, and you can walk to both the old town area and the modern waterfront without breaking a sweat. I actually ended up extending my stay an extra two nights because it felt like such a good base for exploring. The breakfast is simple but solid – Georgian bread, cheese, some fruit, decent coffee – nothing elaborate but it gets you going. One small thing: the elevator can be a bit slow during peak hours, but I mean, we’re talking about an extra minute or two, not the end of the world. For the price point and that 8.4 rating it’s earned, this place delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense. Sometimes that’s exactly what you want in a travel experience.

Hotel in Batumi booking should be done early, especially during summer season when the city hosts internationally celebrated music festivals and beach events at modern venues.

Reviews of Hotel 725

  • Exceptional – Kiara from Germany – August 24, 2025 (10/10)

Amazing hotel, amazing staff, we've been welcome like home. I would definitely choose to stay here again if I come back to Batumi.

We arrived super late (2AM the first night) and it was no issue for the late check-in.

  • Exceptional – Alex from United States – June 5, 2025 (10/10)

The owner was very friendly and helpful with everything. I can recommend that hotel. 👍🏻

  • Outstanding – Mohammadjavad from Iran – September 27, 2024 (10/10)

It was pretty clear and nearly tided. I asked the receptionist for the electric kettle and he kindly made it available as soon as possible. The location of this hotel is exceptional. You can simply find many exchange stores if you walk 300 meters on feet. Also, in case of any sickness or injury , there are various pharmacies with responsible people in charge.

  • Loved it – Ahmed from Oman – September 20, 2024 (10/10)

Good place. Hosts are perfect. Will book here again definitely.

  • Wonderful – Muhammad from Pakistan – August 16, 2024 (9/10)

    Calm and relax comfortabe.
    Best staff behavior.
Top of all extra wide beds.

What could be improved: Daily room cleaning is lazy.

  • Wonderful – Shangcheng from China – July 15, 2024 (9/10)

Greater price than most hotels in Batumi, big parking place, near gas station and big road, good choice for self-driving tourists.

  • Good value hotel. A good first stop after arrival in Georgia. – Steve from United Kingdom – June 20, 2024 (8/10)

Oto on reception was great! I had just arrived in Georgia and he helped me immensely with information in English.

What could be improved: The bed was uncomfortable.

  • Cosy and Clean Hotel in Batumi – Sergo from Georgia – May 20, 2023 (9/10)

Cosy Hotel located on the outskirts of Batumi, and I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and tidy it was. The level of cleanliness exceeded what you would typically find in hotels in Batumi.

Additionally, the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

This hotel is particularly suitable for business travel for both foreigners and Georgians.

It's important to note that the hotel is not in the city centre, but I was aware of this when I booked.

  • Very Good – Shadi from United Arab Emirates – March 25, 2023 (8/10)

The staff, nice and helpful georgian family. Clean premises, they provide tea, instant coffee, bathrobe and slippers. There is a nice recreation floor for groups with pool table and such. Also they have a Georgian pub downstairs for local beer and traditional meals. I liked it although it's far from the touristic side of the city and the beaches. But there are bus stops nearby and taxis are affordable. By the hotel bazar and shops are all over the place. Wifi signal and internet are good.

What could be improved: Bathroom needs some maintenance

  • Wonderful – Mikita from Belarus – November 13, 2022 (9/10)

Everything was fine. The staff was great and friendly, helped us a lot. The room was clean and had everything that we wanted (a cattle, air conditioner, a fridge, Wi-Fi, and TV). Almost nothing to complain about.

What could be improved: This place isn't easy to find because, in Georgia, all maps (Google, OpenMaps, Yandex) are not quite accurate. But we managed to find it, thanks to the locals. The room was fine, but the bed is definitely tired of all those visitors + the toilet licked a bit + noisy neighbors.
