I’ll be honest – when I first walked into Hilton Batumi, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like just another business hotel on Rustaveli Street. But you know what? This place actually surprised me in the best way possible. The lobby has this clean, modern vibe that somehow doesn’t feel sterile, and the staff genuinely seemed happy to see guests (which, let’s face it, isn’t always the case at chain hotels). What really caught my attention was how quiet it stays despite being right in the heart of Batumi – I mean, you’re literally steps away from all the action on the boulevard, but once you’re inside, it’s this peaceful bubble.

The rooms are what you’d expect from a five-star Hilton, but with some nice Georgian touches that keep it from feeling generic. The beds are seriously comfortable – like, sink-into-them-after-a-long-day-of-walking comfortable. And here’s something I really appreciated: the bathrooms are spacious with good water pressure, which honestly can be hit or miss in this part of the world. The view situation depends on which side you’re on, but if you can swing a room facing the sea, it’s worth it. You can actually see the Ferris wheel and the whole Batumi Boulevard stretching out below you. During summer evenings, you’ll hear the distant sounds of the seaside crowds, but it’s more atmospheric than annoying.

What sets this place apart from other hotels in the area is really the service – they seem to get that business travelers and tourists have different needs, and they adapt accordingly. The concierge actually knows the city well enough to give you solid recommendations beyond the obvious tourist spots. I remember asking about good khachapuri places, and instead of sending me to some overpriced tourist trap, they directed me to this little family place about ten minutes away that locals actually go to. The breakfast spread is pretty impressive too, with a good mix of international options and Georgian specialties. Sure, it’s pricier than some of the boutique places popping up around town, but sometimes you just want the reliability of knowing exactly what you’re getting. If you’re here for business or just want to be close to everything without dealing with the chaos of staying right on the waterfront, this is honestly a solid choice.

  Location is ideal: it is right between the Old City and the new areas, closer to the Old City. Almost everything is in a walking distance. The beach is also a short walk across the park. The hotel is new, and therefore 'not tired'. The room and common areas we very clean.
  Very good breakfast to any taste. It is quite expensive, but for what there is – it is justified.
  Wifi worked surprisingly well.
  The real difference made a reception specialist by name Avto (Avtandil). He really makes an extra step to help guests to feel cared for by doing things that are in his power, albeit small but important for people: giving an upgrade if he can, really making an effort to understand your situation and help,
  
  What could be improved: There is smell of sewage in some rooms – I suppose those that are less frequently used (like the one s for guests with disabilities).
  Staff at reception can be more welcoming and not making you feel that you're just another one with problems and unrealistic expectations… But there are bright spots – as mentioned earlier, Avto really stands out in a positive way!
  There must be a way to provide guests with beach towels – it is not that difficult to give them out in exchange for a card, and fine those who lose them/do not reclaim the card.
