You know what surprised me most about Luxury Batumi Hotel? It’s actually tucked away on this quiet side street – Sherif Khimshiashvili – but you’re literally a three-minute walk from all the action on the Boulevard. I mean, you get the best of both worlds here: you can sleep peacefully at night (trust me, the Boulevard gets pretty lively), but you’re close enough that you can hear the distant sound of the waves and catch the sea breeze from your balcony.

The five-star rating isn’t just for show either – they really nail the details that matter. The lobby has this gorgeous marble work that honestly puts some European hotels to shame, and the staff… well, Georgian hospitality is legendary, but these folks take it up another notch. They remember your name after day one, which sounds small but makes such a difference. The rooms are spacious – actually spacious, not just “spacious for Europe” – and the bathrooms have heated floors, which you’ll appreciate if you’re visiting during Batumi’s cooler months. The city can get pretty humid year-round, so the excellent AC was a lifesaver during my July stay.

What really sets this place apart though is how they’ve managed to blend modern luxury with Georgian character. The restaurant on the top floor serves khinkali that rivals what you’ll find in Tbilisi (and the view of the Black Sea at sunset is just ridiculous), plus they stock some excellent local wines that you won’t find in most hotel bars. The location works perfectly too – you’re walking distance from the cable car up to the alphabet tower, the botanical garden is a quick taxi ride, and honestly, some of the best khachapuri spots in the old town are right around the corner. Parking can be a bit tricky on that street, but the hotel handles it for you, which removes one headache. The 9.2 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here – it’s the kind of place that handles both business travelers and families really well, without feeling like it’s trying to be everything to everyone.

  The support staff was excellent- going above and beyond to help us. The offerings for breakfast were amazing with options for all parties to choose from. They were accommodating, even opening the restaurant for us so we could gather as a group.
  
  What could be improved: We were a bit confused about where to go to get to the hotel itself. The people downstairs were not really helpful. The pics on the site included pool and sauna – those were not available. I think it needed to be made clear that there are several entities in the building and what to expect.

  The hospitality of the staff was amazing. They went above and beyond to ensure that our needs were met. The host was very accommodating for my group. She even ensured that we had something to eat as we had an early flight on check out day. This was noteworthy.
  
  What could be improved: On booking they showed a pool and sauna. None of these were available at the property. We were travelling with children and this would have been an added bonus for them. This is actually why we chose the hotel.

  Great reception, where also the owner is in charge on a daily basis! Perfect view from our private balcony on the Black Sea from 40th floor! Exceptional good breakfast with a vide variety of traditional Georgian food, which is freshly prepared! Even special requests have been fulfilled – wonderful experience!
  
  What could be improved: I missed a coffee machine or filtered coffee – but I got very tasty tea from an authentic samowar can as "compensation". 😉
