Guest House Temuri Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Guest House Temuri on Gonio Street, you immediately get that feeling — you know, when a place just looks right. This four-star guesthouse sits in one of Batumi’s quieter residential areas, and honestly, that’s part of its charm. The building itself has this welcoming, homey vibe that makes you feel like you’re staying with friends rather than checking into some impersonal hotel chain.

The Perfect Spot

Here’s what I love about the location — you’re close enough to everything that matters, but far enough from the tourist chaos to actually get some sleep. The Black Sea coastline is just a short walk away, and you can easily reach Batumi’s botanical garden or the old town without dealing with the crowds that swarm the main hotel strip. Couples seem to really get this balance, which makes sense given how highly they rate this place for romantic getaways.

Your Home Base

The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d want after a day of exploring — comfortable without being fancy, clean without feeling sterile. The beds are actually good (you know how hit-or-miss that can be), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. What really impressed me was the attention to small details — proper lighting for reading, decent Wi-Fi that doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and windows that open to let in that sea breeze. The thoughtful design extends throughout the space, making every corner feel intentional.

Local Insights

The staff here genuinely know their city, which is rarer than you’d think. They’ll point you toward the local spots that tourists usually miss — like where to get the best khachapuri without paying tourist prices, or which beaches are less crowded in the afternoons. I mean, you can tell they actually live here and aren’t just reciting from some script. The parking situation is straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven in Batumi will appreciate. Their recommendations consistently lead to authentic experiences that enhance your stay.

Why Guests Love It

Look, Guest House Temuri isn’t trying to be something it’s not — and that’s exactly why it works so well. You get that personal touch you’d expect from a family-run place, but with the reliability and comfort standards of a proper four-star property. The 9.1 rating honestly makes sense when you experience it yourself. It’s the kind of place where you can have a quiet morning coffee, plan your day without feeling rushed, and come back in the evening to a space that actually feels restful. For couples especially, there’s something about the peaceful atmosphere and thoughtful touches that just clicks. The combination of genuine hospitality and quality amenities creates an experience that lingers long after checkout.

  • A warm homely stay – Ayyappan from United Arab Emirates – September 3, 2024 (10/10)

The guest house has a unique vintage grace to it that it almost feels like an art gallery with paintings, traditional Georgian artifacts, lots of books, miniature models of cars, houses, dolls and a beautiful garden with exotic fruits and flaura. The hosts are so very kind and friendly that they catered to our every need from the very start .When we arrived, we were initially lost and it was raining. However, the hosts' daughter was kind enough to bring an umbrella and show us the way.The hostess also provided us dinner, although we were very late upon arrival, and that's how we tasted Khachapuri a georgian delicacy, she was also always upfront in making sure that our needs are met. Also, whenever we were lost in translation her daughter stepped in to help us out which we really appreciate. Overall, it was a very special stay and we had such a wonderful experience. There also being a dining area on the top floor, it was quite the place to exchange tales over dinner and meet fellow travellers which made it even more fun. Would highly recommend it to anyone interested and hope to stay there next time on Georgia. Wishing the very best to the hosts and family.
