I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Green Side Apart Hotel in Gonio, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this five-star place tucked away on Andria Pirveltsodebuli Highway. The location feels a bit removed from the main action, sort of nestled in this quieter residential area about 15 minutes south of central Batumi, but you know what? That turned out to be exactly what made it special. The apartment-style setup here is perfect if you’re planning to stay more than just a night or two – I mean, having a proper kitchen and separate living space changes everything when you’re traveling along Georgia’s coast.

What really struck me was how they’ve managed to blend that apart-hotel concept with actual luxury touches. The units are spacious (honestly bigger than my apartment back home), and the kitchens aren’t just those sad hotel kitchenettes with a broken mini-fridge – these are fully equipped spaces where you could actually cook a proper meal. Which comes in handy because Gonio has this fantastic little market about a 10-minute walk away where locals sell the most incredible fresh produce and cheese. The staff here gets that too – they’re not pushy about their restaurant services like some places, they actually seem to enjoy helping guests figure out the best local spots to shop and eat.

The beach access is where this place really shines though. You’re literally a five-minute stroll from some of the less crowded stretches of Black Sea coastline, and during peak summer months when central Batumi beaches turn into absolute chaos, this feels like you’ve discovered some secret local hangout. I spent most evenings just walking along the shore here – it’s pebbly rather than sandy, but there’s something about the sound of those stones shifting with each wave that’s oddly relaxing. The hotel provides beach towels and even has some basic beach gear you can borrow, which saved me from lugging stuff around. Parking was never an issue either, which anyone who’s tried to navigate Batumi’s summer traffic will appreciate. The only thing I’d mention is that if you’re someone who needs to be right in the thick of the nightlife scene, you’ll want to plan for taxi rides back – but honestly, after a few days of Batumi’s energy, coming back to this peaceful spot felt like exactly what I needed.

  Our apartments were near sea. There are delicious breakfast with different dishes, cafe for lunch and dinner! In the hotel there are gym, sauna, swimming pool.
  This area has not so many hotels now that’s why it is very comfortable on the beach.
  In apartment there is all what you need for cooking there, it was good for us!

  Around the hotel is several constructions which covers the view and from there is coming noise and dust.

  We were staying during the low season so we couldn’t make much use of the beach which is right next door. Other than that the bus stop to the Batumi city is 100 meters away, there is a supermarket close by. The facility was overall pretty clean, staff are friendly and very helpful.
  
  What could be improved: Time to time we got some food smell through the A/C, so we had to turn it off.
  And not a bigly thing but maybe something to note, during the low season there are many constructions going on around the hotel, noise isolation is pretty good so we didn’t hear much and probably it will be over by the summer

  We had a wonderful time at that place. The apartments were so clean and big with amazing view on sea. Stuff is pretty attentive. We would like to return again.

  This was our second visit to this hotel. This is the best proof that the hotel fully fulfils our expectations.
  We especially enjoyed the pool, gym, sauna and breakfast.
  
  What could be improved: No brewed coffee, just instant coffee for breakfast.

  The location was perfect, beachfront. The staff was very responsive and accommodating. My mom had a birthday and they prepared a very nice surprise, a cake and wine. The communication was smooth and pleasant. The swimming pool was nice.
  
  What could be improved: Happy overall! The transfer did not work but the hotel reimbursed the cost of the taxi, which was a very nice and generous way of compensating for the mishap.
