Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Epic Apartments in Orbi CIty, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name sounds a bit… well, grand for what’s actually a solid three-star apartment setup on Sherif Khimshiashvili Street. But you know what? Sometimes the understated places surprise you the most, and this one definitely did.

The thing about staying here is that you’re right in the heart of Batumi without the tourist circus that comes with beachfront properties. I mean, you’re still close enough to walk to the coast – maybe fifteen minutes if you take your time – but you get to experience more of how locals actually live. The Orbi City area has this interesting mix of modern apartment blocks and older Georgian architecture, and honestly, it gives you a better sense of the real Batumi than staying in some glossy hotel tower. The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious (Georgian hospitality extends to room sizes, apparently), with proper kitchens that actually work – not those sad hotel kitchenettes with a broken microwave. I appreciated being able to grab fresh khachapuri from the bakery down the street and have proper coffee in the morning without paying hotel breakfast prices.

What really struck me was how quiet it gets at night, which is rare for this part of the city. You’re close enough to the action when you want it, but the building sits just off the main drag so you can actually sleep. The staff – well, they’re not hovering around like at bigger hotels, but when you need something, they’re genuinely helpful. One guy at reception gave me directions to this incredible family-run restaurant that I never would have found otherwise (and definitely wasn’t in any guidebook). The whole setup feels more like borrowing a friend’s place than staying in traditional accommodation, which works really well if you’re planning to stay more than just a night or two. Plus, with that 8.6 rating, I’m clearly not the only one who appreciated the low-key approach – sometimes the best travel experiences come from places that don’t try too hard to impress you.

  Try be far from this place.The apertment owner is totaly crazy, start atack you insult you when u want to just ask him something extra, no celaning during 4 days, no towel changes and 1 big towel for two persons. Asking extra money for towel.

  What could be improved: The room itself was in principle not bad. A standard guest room with one bed and rather uncomfortable furniture. The location, Orbit City, is a terrible place – extremely crowded with tourists in the summer. Check-in took more than 40–45 minutes. Taking the elevator was almost impossible. Twice, out of three days, we had to walk up to the 4th floor by stairs. This was my worst Booking experience in the last 10 years (or even more).
  
  Most importantly, the host was extremely rude and started shouting and swearing at me when I simply asked to change my towels. On top of that, payment is only possible in cash or via transfer to his personal bank card.

  I've done reservation in booking and it's confirmed, when i reached to the hotel the receptionist told me the room booked by 3rd party and I've to contact him to take room. I called him but he refused to give it 😔
