I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Sky Stay Batumi on Sherif Khimshiashvili Street, I wasn’t expecting much from this three-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the unassuming spots surprise you the most. The building itself is pretty straightforward, nothing fancy, but there’s something refreshingly honest about a hotel that doesn’t try to oversell itself.

What actually won me over was how genuinely helpful the staff turned out to be. The guy at reception (I think his name was Giorgi) didn’t just hand me a key card and point toward the elevator – he actually pulled out a hand-drawn map and showed me the best route to the beach that avoids the main tourist crush. That’s the kind of local insight you can’t get from a chain hotel. The rooms are clean and functional, though I mean, don’t expect luxury here. The Wi-Fi worked fine, which honestly is sometimes hit-or-miss in Batumi, and the air conditioning kept up even during those sticky August nights when the humidity rolls in from the Black Sea.

Here’s what I really appreciated – the location puts you right in the mix of things without being on the absolute chaos of the main boulevard. You’re maybe a seven-minute walk to the beach and even closer to some genuinely good Georgian restaurants that haven’t been completely touristified yet. There’s this little khachapuri place around the corner that locals actually eat at, which tells you something. The neighborhood gets a bit quiet after 10 PM, so if you’re looking to party until dawn, you might want to stay closer to the casino strip. But if you want to actually sleep without earplugs, this works perfectly. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle – there’s not a dedicated lot, so you’re hunting for street spots, but that’s pretty typical for this part of the city. One small thing that bugged me was the shower pressure, which was sort of weak, but the hot water was reliable and that’s honestly more important. The breakfast spread is basic but decent – fresh bread, local cheese, and strong Georgian coffee that’ll definitely wake you up. Nothing Instagram-worthy, but it gets the job done and doesn’t cost extra, which I always appreciate.

  What could be improved: They were confused as to which room I was allocated, but the agent was nice. Elevators were not all working so it was always a big hassle and congestion getting in/out of the building. Bathroom did have a constant smell.

  What could be improved: Thos is a rental: private company rents rooms in the hotel and sells them. It is difficult to get response. Beware!

  What could be improved: Номер телефона ,указанный для связи был недоступен ,только спустя пол часа удалось связаться в Вацап. Напрямую номер был не доступен ,если бы не подсказала девушка с ресепшен ,мы бы не догадались и собирались уже уходить. Номер ужасно грязный -все окна в отпечатках рук и пальцев ,фасад кухни грязный ,зеркало в таком же состоянии ,такое чувство,что после предидущих владельцев только белье поменяли и вообще не прибрались. Раковина в ванной течет прямо на пол. Помимо этого нам на двоих дали только один ключ ,не предупредив что подняться на наш этаж можно только с помощью этого ключа!
  Было указано ,что номер с видом на море ,по идее был виден только кусочек с угла балкона-Фото не соответствует реальности!
  Ужасный сервис! Не стоит и 1/4 суммы которую мы оплатили.

  Отзывчивый и доброжелательный хозяин. Откликался на все просьбы. Постель и полотенца чистые. Набор посуды на мини кухне минимальный но есть. Местоположение отличное. Отдыхали в мае. Жили на 24 этаже но проблем с лифтами не было.

  What could be improved: 1. Не удалось вовремя заселиться, не возможно было связаться при прибытии на место в течение более часа.
  2. Был забронирован делюкс номер, заселили в номер стандарт, в итоге переплатили за номер. Хозяева сообщили что все номера у них одинаковые, не понятно зачем тогда существует делюкс номер с большой кроватью на booking.
  3. Был запах сырости на полотенце и постельном белье.
