I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to DH Apart’s on Sherif Khimshiashvili Street, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. The building itself is pretty unassuming from the outside, but you know what? Sometimes those are the places that surprise you the most. This three-star spot sits in a quieter part of Batumi, which actually turned out to be one of its biggest advantages – you’re close enough to everything but far enough away that you can actually get some sleep at night.

The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious, and I mean genuinely spacious, not that cramped European “cozy” thing where you can barely open your suitcase. Each unit has a proper kitchenette with everything you’d actually need – not just a sad mini-fridge and a broken coffee maker. The owners clearly put thought into the practical stuff that matters when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a quick overnight. The Wi-Fi actually works consistently (I was doing video calls without issues), and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a freight train, which honestly puts it ahead of some fancier places I’ve stayed in Georgia. The furnishings are simple but comfortable – think modern IKEA rather than trying-too-hard boutique hotel vibes.

What really won me over was the location once I got my bearings. You’re about a fifteen-minute walk to the main tourist strip along the Boulevard, but here’s the thing – you’re also right in the middle of where actual Batumi residents live and work. There’s a fantastic little bakery just two blocks down that opens ridiculously early (perfect if you’re catching an early marshrutka somewhere), and the neighborhood has this lived-in feel that you miss when you’re staying right in the tourist zone. The nearby streets have these great little family-run restaurants where you’ll be the only foreigner, and honestly, that’s where you’ll get the best khachapuri in the city. Parking can be a bit tricky – it’s street parking mostly, and during summer it gets competitive – but the staff actually gave me solid local advice about where to look. The whole experience feels less like staying in a hotel and more like borrowing a friend’s apartment, which I guess is exactly what a good aparthotel should feel like.

Hotel in Batumi booking should be done early, especially during summer season when the city hosts internationally celebrated music festivals and beach events at modern venues.

  The hotel was as shown in the pictures. The room was very clean and had cooking facilities and a refrigerator. It had a great view from the balcony of the city and the sea on the 37th floor.
  
  What could be improved: The only downside was that the owner did not respond to messages on the site, and we had to call him at the hotel for guidance on the room, which was frustrating. If he hadn't responded, it would have been impossible to book the room since the rooms have private owners. The elevators were sometimes crowded, but it wasn’t a major issue. The hotel lobby was always very busy and noisy.
