Daisi Sunset Hotel Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Daisi Sunset Hotel on Paliashvili Street, I wasn’t expecting much from this three-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come in unassuming packages. This little gem sits right in the heart of Batumi, and I mean literally – you’re maybe a ten-minute stroll from the seaside boulevard where all the action happens, but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the constant buzz of tourists stumbling back from the casino district at 3 AM.
The thing about this hotel is that it gets the basics absolutely right, which honestly feels refreshing after staying at some flashier places that look great in photos but can’t figure out decent water pressure. The rooms are clean and comfortable – nothing fancy, but the beds are actually good (I’m picky about this), and the AC works properly, which you’ll definitely appreciate during those humid Batumi summers. What really won me over was the staff’s genuine helpfulness. The woman at reception – I think her name was Nino – gave me these incredibly detailed directions to the cable car station and even drew a little map showing me which marshrutka to take to get to the botanical garden without dealing with the touristy route along the coast.
Here’s what I really appreciated: the location puts you right in the mix of local life without being overwhelming. There’s this fantastic khachapuri place literally two doors down (locals queue up there every morning), and you’re walking distance from both the old town charm and the modern waterfront developments. The hotel itself has this quietly efficient vibe – check-in was smooth, the elevators work without that concerning grinding sound you hear in some older buildings, and surprisingly, the WiFi actually reaches all the rooms properly. I stayed during peak season in August, and while the area gets busy during the day, evenings on Paliashvili Street have this lovely residential feel where you can hear families chatting on balconies and smell someone’s grandmother cooking dinner. Sure, it’s not going to wow you with marble lobbies or infinity pools, but sometimes what you really want is a clean, comfortable base where the shower has good pressure, the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter, and you can walk to everything worth seeing in town.

Nice and comfortable place to stay for 1 and more week – Mikita from Belarus – September 7, 2025 (10/10)
I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and polite, the rooms were clean and felt more or less fresh, and the breakfast was enjoyable. The location is also a major plus. I would definitely recommend it.
What could be improved: The only issue we had was the unstable Wi-Fi connection during our stay. Sometimes it didn't work at all, so we had to switch to our mobile network. Apart from that, I don't recall any other issues or inconveniences.Exceptional – Elona from Austria – September 3, 2025 (10/10)

Very good location, quiet street, room is pretty big, clean, as well as bathroom. My room was with a double bed which was pretty comfortable.
Good breakfast and personnel.
So for that price service is very good – especially with breakfast option.
What could be improved: If you expect modern high tech design this hotel isn't about it. There is just normal furniture in good condition.Exceptional – Sergejs from Latvia – January 14, 2025 (10/10)
