The neighborhood has this lived-in feel – there’s a little bakery two blocks down where locals grab their morning khachapuri, and the old Georgian men playing backgammon in the courtyard across the street provided better entertainment than any hotel lobby ever could. Parking can be tricky if you’ve got a rental car (the streets are narrow and Georgian driving is… well, adventurous), but there’s usually space if you don’t mind walking a block or two. The 8.3 rating makes total sense when you consider what you’re actually paying – it delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense, and in a city where some hotels charge resort prices for basic rooms just because they’re closer to the beach, that kind of straightforward approach feels refreshing.
