Apartments On Vaja Pshavela Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Apartments On Vaja Pshavela, I wasn’t expecting much from a three-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best discoveries are the ones that catch you off guard, and this little gem in Batumi absolutely did that for me.
The location on Vaja Pshavela street is actually brilliant if you know the area at all. You’re close enough to hear the distant hum of the Boulevard when the wind’s right, but far enough inland that you won’t be dealing with the weekend party crowds that can make the beachfront pretty intense. I mean, don’t get me wrong – I love Batumi’s energy, but sometimes you want to come back to somewhere that feels more like a neighborhood than a tourist zone. The building itself has that slightly worn Georgian charm that I’ve grown to appreciate – it’s not Instagram-perfect, but there’s something authentic about staying somewhere that locals actually live too.
What really impressed me was how thoughtfully these apartments are set up. The owners clearly understand what travelers actually need (not just what looks good in photos). The kitchenettes are properly equipped – I’m talking real plates, not just plastic tourist stuff – and honestly, being able to grab fresh khachapuri from the nearby bakery and have it with proper coffee in your own space? That’s worth more than any fancy hotel breakfast buffet. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the units, which isn’t always a given in this part of town, and the hot water pressure is surprisingly solid. I stayed during one of those drizzly October weeks when half the city seemed to be taking long showers, but never had an issue.
The whole area comes alive in the evenings – you’ll hear kids playing in the courtyards and smell someone’s supra feast drifting through the windows around dinner time. It’s that real Batumi neighborhood vibe that you just can’t get when you’re staying in the tourist bubble. Plus, you’re maybe a fifteen-minute walk to the main action on the Boulevard, or there’s usually a marshrutka that’ll get you there in five minutes if you’re feeling lazy. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle (welcome to Batumi), but the building has a small courtyard where you can usually squeeze in if you’re traveling with a car. Just don’t expect marked spaces or anything fancy – it’s more of a “figure it out as you go” situation.
Exploring Batumi offers visitors an unforgettable journey through Georgia’s coastal capital, from its ancient port heritage to its modern resort developments and world-renowned connections to Black Sea culture and traditions.

What could be improved: NothingI am very content with my stay and will recommend the hotel to others too. – Baia from Georgia – June 29, 2025 (10/10)
The hotel has excellent location. It is right in the city center. It's just 5-10 minutes walk to the beach. The area is very vibrant, surrounded by lots of cafes, shops, grocery markets, pharmacy. It is very close to Ajara Art Museum, that is a very nice cultural sight-seeing. The room is very comfortable. Despite its central location, the noise from the streets could't reach the room.
Good location, kind landlady. – Okanaki from Turkey – June 7, 2025 (8/10)
Late check-in was available. I could find a free parking spot across the street. The location was excellent. The landlady was very kind.
What could be improved: The beds could be more comfortable.Good location – Isabel from United States – April 15, 2025 (8/10)
Perfect location, right around the corner from cute cafes and restaurants, close to everything you want to see in Batumi. An affordable choice for being in the center of the city.
What could be improved: Unfortunately, there were some minor cleanliness issues. Mainly there was hair in the shower drain when I arrived, the shower was very clogged, and it was pretty clear that the bedside tables weren't wiped down between guests. Also, I booked a room with a kitchenette specifically so I could make and eat a small breakfast in the room each morning, but there was no kettle to make tea/coffee!!! Why!!Good location and price – Aslı from Turkey – March 7, 2025 (9/10)
The host was very kind. We had a problem about air conditioner and she came and showed us to arrange. The room was clean and there was everything that one needs. Location was great, we walked to everywhere.
What could be improved: The bed was uncomfortable.Exceptional – Kamila from Czech Republic – January 5, 2025 (10/10)
Awesome location, right in the heart of the city, and super affordable! Plus, you get your own little kitchen in the room.
Great room close to all tourist attractions in Batumi. – Małgorzata from Poland – November 10, 2024 (10/10)
It is a spacious and comfortable room with a full size bathroom. The whole property has been refurbished to a high standard. Room was warm and very quiet as the entrance is from the courtyard and not the main street. Property is very close to boulevard and all other tourist attractions in Batumi. I really enjoyed my stay there.
What could be improved: It is a small property so plan check-in in advance.Exceptional – Oleg from Russia – June 29, 2024 (10/10)
