Apartments Black Sea Resort Overview
You know what struck me first about Apartments Black Sea Resort? It’s not actually right on the beach like the name suggests, but honestly, that turned out to be a blessing. The place sits on Sherif Khimshiashvili Street, which – I’ll be straight with you – isn’t the prettiest address to pronounce, but it’s this quiet residential area that gives you a real taste of how locals live in Batumi. I mean, you’re still just a ten-minute walk from the seafront promenade, but without all that constant tourist buzz right outside your window.
The apartments themselves feel more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical hotel, which makes sense given it’s a three-star setup. Each unit has this lived-in comfort – proper kitchens where you can actually cook (and trust me, after a week of Georgian khachapuri, sometimes you just want to make scrambled eggs), decent-sized living areas, and balconies where I spent way too many mornings with coffee watching the neighborhood come alive. The decor won’t win any design awards – think clean and functional rather than Instagram-worthy – but everything works, the Wi-Fi is solid, and the beds are surprisingly comfortable. I was worried about noise since Batumi can get pretty lively, but this street stays relatively calm even during the summer chaos.
What really sold me on this place was the staff’s approach to hospitality. They’re not hovering around with fake smiles, but when I needed restaurant recommendations or help figuring out the local marshrutka routes, they knew their stuff. One of the front desk guys – I think his name was Giorgi – actually drew me a hand-sketched map to this amazing family-run restaurant about six blocks away that I never would have found otherwise. The location puts you close enough to walk to the Alphabet Tower and Batumi Boulevard without being stuck in the thick of the hotel district where everything costs twice as much. Plus, there’s a little grocery store literally next door, which became my go-to for wine and those addictive Georgian chocolates. Look, it’s not luxury – the building’s got that Soviet-era bones thing going on, and sometimes the elevator takes its sweet time – but for the price point and the genuine local experience, it delivers exactly what it promises.

Beautiful modern apartment in central area. – Bader from Jordan – September 4, 2024 (10/10)
The apartment is super nice, modern and clean, plenty of sunlight gives the flat a good feeling when you step in. Amazing view from the balcony, even if the area a little noisy as it's in the center of Batumi, but the sound isolation of this flat is really good.
What made this booking even nicer, it was (Lesia) who manages the bookings, such a wonderful lady, helpful all the way, she made my stay even more convenient with her support. She even prepared the flat fully before even my arrival to Batumi, cause I had to change booking dates, and she was flexible and supportive.
Highly recommended.
