King Solomon Batumi Hotel Overview
You know what struck me first about King Solomon Batumi Hotel? It’s this unexpectedly elegant building tucked away on Pirosmani Street – and I mean actually tucked away, not in that annoying way where hotels claim to be “intimate” but you’re just lost looking for the entrance. This four-star spot sits in one of those perfect pockets of Batumi where you’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough from the casino strip chaos that you can actually sleep at night.
The whole place has this sort of refined Georgian vibe going on – think rich woods and warm lighting without going overboard on the traditional touches. Honestly, the lobby impressed me more than I expected from the street view. The staff genuinely knows their stuff too, which you don’t always get in Batumi’s hotel scene. I watched them handle a complicated group check-in like pros, switching between Georgian, Russian, and English without missing a beat. My room was on the fourth floor (there’s a proper elevator, thank god), and while it wasn’t huge, everything felt thoughtfully designed. The bathroom was actually modern – I’m talking good water pressure and toiletries that don’t smell like industrial soap.
Here’s the thing about the location that really worked for me: Pirosmani Street connects you to the old town in about a seven-minute walk, but you’re also just a quick stroll from the newer waterfront developments. I could grab morning coffee at one of those tiny Georgian cafes nearby, then wander down to the beach or the boulevard without dealing with taxi drama. The neighborhood has this lived-in feeling – actual residents going about their business, not just tourist infrastructure. Parking was surprisingly manageable too, which anyone who’s driven in Batumi will appreciate. The hotel’s 8.2 rating makes sense to me – it’s the kind of place that does the basics really well without trying to be something it’s not. The breakfast spread was solid Georgian and international options, though honestly, you’re better off exploring the local khachapuri spots for the real experience. What I really appreciated was how quiet the rooms stayed despite being in the city center – good windows make all the difference when Georgian celebrations can run pretty late. If you’re looking for a reliable base in Batumi that won’t break the bank but still feels like a proper hotel rather than just a place to crash, King Solomon delivers on that promise.

Nice receptionist. Fantastic secure underground parking. Excellent clean room with fresh fruit. Super quiet. Very central. Clean bathroom. Good shower. Best breakfast ever (Saturday)! Highly recommended.
What could be improved: There was no evening meal on a Friday – whilst I respect this, the receptionist never mentioned it, and in fact told me what time dinner was served – so I was looking forward to it!I enjoyed my time in this hotel. – Omidi from Austria – May 11, 2023 (9/10)
