Aparthotel Tangerine Overview

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Aparthotel Tangerine being on the 21st and 22nd floors of a residential building, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But you know what? Sometimes the most interesting places are the ones that surprise you, and this four-star spot definitely did that.

The thing about staying this high up in Batumi is the views – and I mean, wow. You’re literally floating above the city with these massive windows that frame the Black Sea like it’s a postcard someone forgot to send. The apartments themselves feel more like someone’s stylish flat than a typical hotel room, which honestly works in their favor. There’s actual kitchen space (not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation), decent-sized living areas, and – this matters more than you’d think – proper storage for your stuff. I mean, after a week of living out of a suitcase in cramped hotel rooms, having closet space feels like luxury.

Getting up to your floor takes a minute since you’re sharing elevators with residents, but the staff actually meets you in the lobby to help with the whole process. Smart move, really, because navigating a Georgian residential building when you don’t speak the language can be… well, let’s just say Google Translate only gets you so far. The Kobaldze Street location puts you in this interesting spot where you’re close enough to walk to the main tourist strip along the boulevard, but you’re also in an actual neighborhood where real people live. There’s this little market downstairs where locals shop, and honestly, watching the daily rhythm of the place from your perch up high becomes part of the entertainment. The sea breeze hits differently when you’re up that high too – even on humid summer days, you get this nice cross-breeze that keeps things comfortable. Only real downside I noticed was that if you’re the type who needs to pop in and out constantly, the elevator situation might get old fast. But if you’re planning to settle in and use the place as a proper base – maybe cook a meal, spread out your work, actually unpack – then the apartment-style setup makes total sense. Plus, and this is probably why they’ve got such solid ratings, the whole operation feels more personal than your average hotel chain. It’s like staying in someone’s well-appointed guest room, if that someone happened to live in a high-rise with killer views of the Georgian coast.

  • Lovely property in a great location – Vicki from United States – April 27, 2025 (8/10)

The location was great. Close to the beach and a mall. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room is large, clean, and has everything you need. The restaurant was my favorite part. You could have breakfast or a late night snack.

What could be improved: The WiFi in my room stopped working two days into my 4 day stay so I would have to go to the lobby if I needed to get work done.

  • Very Good – Merilin from Estonia – April 13, 2025 (8/10)

All in all a good experience (some staff members were not so polite) but-there was a camera outside, showing right into our window, to the bed-why?? 😀 ofcourse you can close the curtains but…why?? Not ok 😀
