Alliance Palace Batumi Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Alliance Palace Batumi on Sherif Khimshiashvili Street, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The street itself is pretty quiet, which actually turned out to be a blessing because you’re close enough to everything but far enough from the late-night noise that comes with Batumi’s party scene. This five-star place has this sort of understated elegance that grows on you – it’s not screaming “look at me” like some of the flashier hotels along the boulevard, but once you’re inside, you realize they’ve put serious thought into every detail.

The lobby has this warm, sophisticated vibe with marble that doesn’t feel cold somehow, and honestly, the staff seemed genuinely happy to see guests rather than just going through the motions. My room overlooked the city (though I know some face the courtyard – worth asking about when you book), and the soundproofing was surprisingly good. You know how some places claim to be luxury but then you hear every conversation in the hallway? Not here. The beds are proper comfortable too – none of that rock-hard European mattress situation that sometimes catches travelers off guard. What really impressed me was the attention to practical stuff: plenty of outlets where you actually need them, a safe that’s big enough for a laptop, and a bathroom with water pressure that’ll wake you up in the morning.

The location is actually pretty clever when you think about it. You’re about a ten-minute walk from the main tourist strip along Rustaveli Avenue, which means you can easily get to the cable car, the old town, or any of the seaside restaurants, but you’re not dealing with the constant foot traffic and street vendors. There’s a decent Georgian restaurant just around the corner that locals actually eat at – always a good sign – and if you need late-night snacks or forgot something, there’s a small market two blocks down that stays open surprisingly late. The hotel’s restaurant is solid too, though I’d recommend venturing out for at least a few meals because, I mean, you’re in Georgia – the food scene here is incredible. One thing to keep in mind: if you’re coming during summer, this place books up fast, and for good reason. The combination of genuine comfort, smart location, and that 8.3 rating reflects something real – it’s the kind of place where small details work in your favor, and you end up extending your stay if you can swing it.

Reviews of Alliance Palace Batumi

  • Very Good – Mathijs from United Arab Emirates – September 7, 2025 (8/10)

Modern building at a great location for beach access, entertainment and restaurants. We stayed in the family suite and it was very comfortable.

What could be improved: Long queues for check in and check out due to only 2 counters. Breakfast was average for the price.

  • Nice hotel with perfect location but check-in time was disaster! – N_qtr from Qatar – August 13, 2025 (8/10)

The location of the property is good and the cleanliness is perfect.
The suit as the pictures and spacious.
Everything nearby like the new boulevard, restaurants, supermarket, pharmacy … etc

What could be improved: The check-in time take soo looooong , also the room was not ready when i reached the hotel although I contacted them before arriving and ask them to be ready by 6pm (even the check-in time is 4pm) but when I arrived it was not ready and I've to wait more than 20 minutes in the loopy.
Also the nearest parking is 40 lari for full day !

  • ‏My stay at the hotel was wonderful, especially thanks to the excellent service provided by [MARIAM] and [LUKA BELLBOY]. – Alshemeili from United Arab Emirates – July 24, 2025 (9/10)

  • Very Good – متعب from Saudi Arabia – July 22, 2025 (8/10)

It provides all the services a family needs.

    A water bidet is available.

The location is close to events.

What could be improved: The room is small.

There is no table on the balcony.

There is a very noisy bar across the street from the hotel.

The floor smell in the room is unpleasant.

  • A good stay next to the beach – Etem from Netherlands – July 20, 2025 (8/10)

The location and the room itself. It wasn’t a huge room but it was just enough and we had a nice balcony with a sea view. It was a few minutes walk to the beach and that is what was important to us. Also the breakfast wasn’t included and we paid for it but it’s a good breakfast for the money you pay.

What could be improved: The bed wasn’t so comfortable.

  • Wonderful – Shahar from Israel – July 9, 2025 (9/10)

The place is very comfortable. Clean, I got a studio room on the 35th floor, sea view. Stunning. At the reception there was a guy named Giorgi, the supervisor. The guy was very helpful and pleasant and welcomed me. Definitely a recommended place.

What could be improved: From a hotel of this level, I expect the minimum. Coffee and sugar in the room.
