I’ll be honest – when I first heard about The Fresh Wave hotel being located on floors 13 and 14 of a residential building on Lech and Maria Kaczynski Street, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But you know what? Sometimes the most interesting places are hiding in plain sight, and this four-star spot in Batumi turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises that makes you rethink what a hotel experience should be.

The location is actually pretty clever when you think about it – you’re right in a proper neighborhood rather than stuck in some tourist bubble, so you get to see how Batumi really works. The street itself is busy enough that you’ll hear some city sounds (honestly, it’s not silent, but it’s not terrible either), and being up on those higher floors means you get some decent views over the city and toward the Black Sea. The whole setup feels more like staying in a friend’s really nice apartment than a traditional hotel, which I mean in the best possible way. Check-in was straightforward, though you’ll want to double-check the apartment numbers since there are quite a few units spread across those two floors – I think they range from 289 to 298, so it’s basically like a small hotel village up there.

What really works here is the attention to detail in the rooms themselves. Everything feels fresh and well-maintained (hence the name, I guess?), and you can tell someone actually thought about what travelers need rather than just throwing generic furniture together. The bathrooms are solid, the beds are comfortable enough that I slept well despite the urban setting, and there’s this sense that the place is run by people who actually care about hospitality. I stayed during what seemed like a pretty busy period, and the staff handled everything smoothly – no drama, no waiting around, just efficient service without being overly formal about it. Sure, a 7.4 rating isn’t going to win any awards, but honestly, that feels about right for a place that delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense. If you’re looking for marble lobbies and doormen, this isn’t your spot, but if you want a clean, comfortable base in Batumi with people who know what they’re doing, The Fresh Wave does the job really well.

  A standard hotel room, though with a direct view of the sea. Everything is clean and tidy. The only thing is that we had to move to another similar room, because someone smoked there before us. 1 minute from the beach, a quiet place far from the center of the noisy promenade. We recommend it.

  One member of staff, a young girl who spoke good English tried her best to help, this was the only good thing.
  
  What could be improved: The room flooded and when we wanted to leave they would only return some of my money. They were not helpful. Also the location is bad, on the outskirts of town near the airport by a dirty, stoney beach.

  I wanted to find a nice place close to plane spotting location and it was great. Room is big and comfortable. Girl at reception was very nice and was doing her best to solve little water problem in the room.

  the location in terrible, it is in the end of batumi very far from the center, you need taxi to get anywhere.

  it is 3 rooms inside the aqua hotel managed by someone else, the facilities are not shared.
  there is nothing, only the small room.
  no front desk, no cleaning services, no bellboy services, no parking.
  there is a small pool of the aqua hotel and it caused 60 lari for a person to use (that's crazy expensive).
  basically the booking page details are wrong!!

  I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel in Batumi, and I cannot say enough positive things about my experience. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the cleanliness and overall ambiance of the hotel.
  First and foremost, the location of the hotel was absolutely perfect. It was conveniently situated near the airport, which made my arrival and departure hassle-free. Additionally, being so close to the sea meant that I could enjoy the breathtaking views and even hear the soothing sounds of the waves right from my balcony. It truly added an extra touch of tranquility to my stay.
  What truly made my visit exceptional, however, was the owner's exceptional hospitality and assistance. They went above and beyond to ensure that I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. From providing helpful recommendations for local attractions and dining options to promptly addressing any concerns or questions I had, the owner's warm and friendly demeanor made me feel right at home.
  The hotel itself was immaculate. The rooms were tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. It was evident that the staff took great care in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the entire property.

  What could be improved: My reservation is marked as cancelled but I paid and stayed, so 🙂 Entry is a bit jiggly as you stay at Aqua Batumi yet the Aqua Batumi does not know about you so you should be certain about your arrival time to meet your host.

  Location is great. Sea view rooms are really sea view and not party view or something like that. Some rooms have a bath which is rare in Batumi. Quiet.
  
  What could be improved: The business is really run by single private person. The rooms are really rooms from Aqua Batumi hotel. I could not pay by Visa card on check in. There is no room service compared to Aqua hotel, towels are replaced weekly not daily, and price is higher. There is no reception as such, the one from Aqua hotel does not know about you.
