So I stumbled upon Sunset Apartment on Kobaladze Street last spring, and honestly, it’s one of those finds that makes you feel a bit smug about your booking skills. This four-star spot sits in this quiet residential pocket of Batumi – you know, the kind of street where you’ll hear Georgian grandmothers chatting on balconies rather than tour groups marching past your window at dawn.

The thing about this place is that it actually feels like staying in someone’s really well-appointed home rather than a cookie-cutter hotel room. The apartment I had (number 301, which I’m guessing from the address) had this lovely setup where the living area flows into the kitchen, and you get these glimpses of the Black Sea if you lean out the right window – not a full sea view, mind you, but those little peeks that remind you you’re in a coastal city. The furniture’s modern without being sterile, and there’s this attention to small details that surprised me. Like, they’d stocked the kitchen with actual decent coffee, not those sad instant packets you usually get. The bathroom had proper water pressure too, which, let me tell you, isn’t always a given in Georgian accommodations.

Location-wise, you’re about a fifteen-minute walk to the main tourist strip along the boulevard, but here’s the thing – that’s actually perfect. You get to duck away from all the casino lights and crowds when you want some peace, but you’re still close enough to wander over for dinner or to catch the dancing fountains show. There’s this little bakery two blocks down that does khachapuri that’ll ruin you for anywhere else, and the taxi drivers actually know this street, which isn’t always the case with some of the newer developments. Parking was surprisingly hassle-free when my friends drove over from Tbilisi – there’s street parking that doesn’t turn into a morning battle royale. The building itself is well-maintained, none of that Soviet-era concrete grimness you sometimes encounter. Check-in was smooth, though I’d recommend coordinating arrival times since it’s not a 24-hour front desk situation. What really sealed it for me was how quiet it gets at night – you’re in the city but you can actually sleep without earplugs, which in Batumi during summer season is honestly a minor miracle.

  В квартире очень красиво, продуманно все до мелочей. Удобное и четкое заселение/выселение. Виды красивые в любое время суток. Море близко. Рядом с квартирой много кафе, магазинов, аптек и разных развлечений, если нужно.

  Квартира очень удобная для быта – есть все необходимое от стир.порошка, посуды, посудомойки, пляжные полотенца, кондиционер, кофе и пр.
  Хозяйка кв Ольга всегда была на связи, подсказывала и провела подробный инструктаж. Презент по приезду тоже порадовал.
  Просто потрясающий балкон-терраса, мы проводили там каждый вечер наблюдая за морем и закатом.
  Отдых прошел потрясающе!
  
  What could be improved: Немного пахло сыростью в ванне, есть оставлять включенной вентиляцию – уходил запах.

  This apartment was a great find – location was perfect, right next to the beach, restaurants and a mall. The apartment was well equipped and clean, and the communication with the host was fantastic! The best bit about the apartment is the large sea view balcony which was amazing at sunset.
  
  What could be improved: This isn't a reflection on the apartment or the host but noticed cigarette butts were regularly dropped from above and landed on the balcony.

  Convenient location – 2 minute walk to supermarket and plenty of shops, pharmacies and places to eat. Opposite is the Grand Mall with shops of various brands. The sea and children's aqua park are very close by.
  The apartments are very comfortable and well thought out. Clean. The view from the terrace is gorgeous.
  Everything you need is there (even mackintoshes and umbrella), which was especially nice and appreciated on a rainy day.
  The owner was always in touch and promptly helped us with our enquiries.
  We liked everything. We enjoyed our stay in these apartments. We wish you the same.
  
  What could be improved: No microwave.
  Not related to the apartment, rather a recommendation – bring something to repel mosquitoes.

  Beautiful deck, comfortable properly with many thoughtful touches to make your stay more comfortable. It’s across from a mall with shopping, food court and grocery store.
  
  What could be improved: It was a bit noisy, but any waterfront view in any seaside town in any part of the world I’ve been to, this is the case. People are out enjoying the beach, boardwalk, facilities, and are having a good time.
