What really sold me on this place was how it sits in the real Batumi, not the touristy waterfront area where everything’s overpriced and crowded. You’re close enough to walk to the Boulevard and all that action, but when you want to escape the cruise ship crowds and actually see how locals live, you just step outside. There’s this little bakery about two blocks down that makes khachapuri that’ll ruin you for the tourist versions, and the neighborhood has that lived-in feel where kids are playing in the courtyards and grandmothers are hanging laundry. The apartment comes with all the basics you’d expect – decent wifi, hot water that actually stays hot, and surprisingly comfortable beds. I was a bit worried about noise since Batumi can get pretty lively, especially during summer, but being up on the 18th floor actually buffers most of the street sounds. The only thing that occasionally woke me up was the occasional late-night celebration from other apartments, but honestly, that just felt like part of the authentic Georgian experience. If you’re looking for that sterile, international hotel chain feeling, this isn’t your spot. But if you want to feel like you’re actually staying in Batumi rather than just visiting it, and you appreciate having real space to relax after long days of exploring, this apartment delivers way more than its star rating suggests.
