Piazza Boutique Hotel Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first walked into Piazza Boutique Hotel, I wasn’t expecting much from the exterior on Parnavaz Mepe Street. The building itself is pretty understated, but honestly, that’s part of its charm. This four-star spot sits right in the heart of Batumi, and I mean literally in the thick of things – you’re maybe a three-minute walk from the seaside boulevard where all the evening action happens.
What actually surprised me was how quiet the rooms are despite being so central. I mean, Batumi can get pretty lively, especially during summer when the Georgian families and international tourists descend on the place, but somehow the hotel manages to buffer most of the street noise. The staff – and this matters more than you’d think – actually speak decent English, which isn’t always a given in this part of Georgia. They helped me sort out a taxi to the cable car (you know, the one that goes up to the plateau) without any of that awkward pointing and Google Translate dance.
The rooms themselves feel more like a well-appointed apartment than your typical hotel setup. There’s this nice balance between modern amenities and local touches – nothing too fancy, but everything works properly. The shower pressure is solid, which honestly can be hit-or-miss in Georgian hotels. What I really appreciated was the little kitchenette area; perfect for storing those amazing Georgian wines you’ll inevitably buy from the shops along Gogebashvili Street. The breakfast spread is pretty decent too – you get your standard continental options, but they also throw in some Georgian specialties like khachapuri, which beats cereal any day.
Location-wise, you’re perfectly positioned to explore both the old and new parts of the city. The Batumi Boulevard is right there for your evening strolls (seriously, don’t miss the singing fountains), and if you’re into the casino scene or just want to people-watch, everything’s within walking distance. I found myself just wandering back to the hotel between activities because it was so easy to access. Plus, if you need to catch a marshrutka to somewhere like Kobuleti or even venture toward the Turkish border, the transport connections are pretty straightforward from this area.
The whole experience feels refreshingly unpretentious – no marble lobbies or overly formal service, just solid hospitality in a city that’s still figuring out its tourism identity. With an 8.4 rating from other guests, it seems like most people leave pretty satisfied, and I get why. It’s the kind of place where you check in planning to just sleep there, but end up actually enjoying hanging around the property.
Batumi’s hotels showcase the perfect blend of Georgian hospitality and modern resort elegance, with many featuring spa services and authentic Adjarian cultural experiences.

Reviews of Piazza Boutique Hotel
Good stay – Ata from Turkey – January 2, 2025 (9/10)
Good architecture. Good location. Good room.
What could be improved: Terrible breakfast. Could be much better even with 1 chef only.Beautiful location & amazing stay – Minhaj from United Arab Emirates – December 2, 2024 (9/10)
Amazing location, near to all main attractions of the city. We got a room at 9th floor with 2 balconies opening at 2 different sides of the tower. Room was clean, bathroom had the jet spray along with other amenities and each floor has 2 rooms only which was much peaceful for the stay
What could be improved: Breakfast time is at 8 AM and we had to catch the train at 8.. Breakfast should be at 6 or 6:30 like other hotels everywhere as early morning tourists will surely miss, even though paid for it.Wonderful – Ergenekon1969 from Turkey – October 13, 2024 (9/10)
Great place and location ,easy to reach anywhere you need. Also free concert was available and was great time :)) thanks.
I slept well in a comfortable room and was glad to be able to check out at noon rather than earlier. – Rands from United Kingdom – September 21, 2024 (9/10)
Although I arrived very late, very wet and very tired because of traffic problems and weather, my room was still available and I was made to feel welcome.
What could be improved: The room was very comfortable but the 1970s-inspired decor was a bit surprising and did not match what I had seen of the hotel during my previous stay.I felt comfortable and at ease in a welcoming environment. – Rands from United Kingdom – September 15, 2024 (9/10)
The staff were friendly and courteous and made me very welcome. The room I was given was perfect for my needs, with a desk where I could work at the end of the day.
The wardrobe space was very well organised and I appreciated the quantity of clothes hangers and the slippers.
What could be improved: I did enjoy the music, but for someone who needed to work and get good sleep, it did go on quite late, but I understand that it is for the people who are on holiday and want some entertainment.Very Good – Alex from Georgia – September 13, 2024 (8/10)
Great location, great rooms
What could be improved: Waiting approximately 30 minutes to find any staff to provide us room keys.Quite good, beautifully constructed place with good staff and amazing breakfast – Salome from Georgia – September 13, 2024 (7/10)
It is in a really good location, but it is away from orbi buildings, but that is a pro rather then a com because it is close to the beach where mot many people gather around and also everything is from a walking distance. 24/7 stores and pharmaceuticals are nearby. Staff was nice and cleaners were superb.
Also breakfast is to die for they have many varieties of food and all delicious.
What could be improved: Okay so this hotel is in Piazza as name suggests and in the piazza square there is live music from 20:00 until midnight. Sometimes I was really tired from waking in high degree weathers and wanted to relax or sleep earlier or take a nap but it is impossible because music is too loud and no matter if you close the doors or not you can clearly be drowned in the sounds of music. so if you are an early sleeper or if you like to rest in the evening to be energized for night life this place may not be for you.Very Good – Rohan from Armenia – August 1, 2024 (8/10)
Piazza Boutique is perfectly located in Batumi(subjective), at Piazza Square, one of the sightseeing spots, so staying here means one of the sightseeing places is already ticked off. The hotel has an amazing view of the Black Sea and Batumi City. As a bonus, the rooms have two balconies. The compound has restaurants, hookahs, and even live music in the evening that goes till midnight. The rooms were really comfortable. We got a room on the 9th floor.
What could be improved: The phone in our room was not working. Plus, in case you need the reception, you have to go to the Piazza Four Colors hotel (located at Piazza Square itself) as there was no one at the desk. Also, the breakfast could have more dishes or varieties.Wonderful – Ercan from Georgia – May 7, 2024 (9/10)
Location
Nica place to stay in the centre of Batumi – Cyrillus from Netherlands – January 5, 2024 (9/10)

What could be improved: Breakfast is average.
