Panorama Hotel Batumi Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Panorama Hotel Batumi on Gorgiladze Street, I wasn’t expecting much from the exterior. But you know what they say about judging books by their covers, because this four-star place really surprised me once I got inside. The lobby has this clean, modern vibe that immediately tells you they’ve put thought into the details, and the staff actually seemed genuinely happy to see guests arrive (which, let me tell you, isn’t always a given in Georgia’s hotel scene).

What really sets this place apart is the location – you’re right in the heart of Batumi but somehow tucked away from the main tourist chaos. I mean, you can walk to the Boulevard and the beach in about ten minutes, but you’re not dealing with the constant noise and crowds that come with staying right on the waterfront. The rooms themselves are surprisingly spacious for a city hotel, and honestly, the beds are some of the most comfortable I’ve encountered in this part of the world. The air conditioning actually works properly too, which becomes crucial during those humid summer months when Batumi feels like a sauna. I stayed during peak season in August, and while the city was packed with tourists, the hotel maintained this calm, almost serene atmosphere that made it easy to recharge between exploring sessions.

Here’s something I really appreciated – the breakfast spread is way better than what you’d expect from a mid-range hotel. They’ve got local Georgian dishes alongside the standard European options, and the khachapuri alone makes it worth getting up early for. The restaurant staff knows their stuff too; they pointed me toward some fantastic local wine that I never would have discovered otherwise. Parking can be a bit tricky in this neighborhood (it’s Georgia, after all), but the hotel sorts that out for you, which saves a lot of headache. The only minor gripe I had was that the Wi-Fi could be spotty in some rooms, though it worked fine in the common areas. But really, when you’re this close to Batumi’s Old Town and all those incredible seafood restaurants along the coast, you probably won’t be spending much time in your room anyway. For what you’re paying, especially considering the quality and the location, this place delivers exactly what most travelers are looking for – a solid, comfortable base that doesn’t break the bank but doesn’t feel like you’re roughing it either.

  • Good price, good people, medium quality room – Arseny from Russia – September 7, 2025 (7/10)

    Location was good

What could be improved: Toilet paper holder was broken and it was uncomfortable. Night was noisy outside.

  • Wonderful – Marat from Georgia – September 6, 2025 (9/10)

A great place to stay, with a clean room. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. We were greeted warmly, checked in right away, and offered breakfast. The breakfasts are very good. Everything was excellent. Many thanks to this hotel.

  • Very Good – Davina from United Kingdom – October 30, 2024 (8/10)

Spacious and clean bathroom. The two ‘single beds’ I requested were very large. Central location. Our room had a balcony. A lovely terrace area for eating breakfast, with a good selection of foods for the breakfast.

What could be improved: Availability of plug sockets was limited, which meant our fridge was not plugged in but we were only staying for one night so not a huge struggle.

  • A great location with no proper breakfast – Evgeny from Russia – August 21, 2023 (7/10)

    – location is great (12 min walk to the beach and to downtown)
    – the host is caring and kind

What could be improved: – very poor breakfast with soviet service, almost nothing to eat
    – strong long term dampness in the bath

  • Very Good – Vladtapes from Turkey – August 18, 2023 (8/10)

    Location and kind staff.

What could be improved: Room equipment and facilities are weak.

  • Wonderful – Mara from Latvia – August 3, 2023 (9/10)

    Good hotel!

  • Very Good – Tariq from Kuwait – July 17, 2023 (8/10)

Breakfast on the rooftop was a good one only. Good location. We booked the suite but it was too congested hardly to stand n walk. No bathroom facilities

What could be improved: Bathroom facilities were missing, no soap or shampoo, shower drain was blocked, not enough pillows n blankets, no duvet covers,
At least there should be some one who can understand English language.
