You know what really struck me about ORBI Residence LUXURY when I first walked in? It actually lives up to that bold name they’ve given it. I mean, Kobaladze Street isn’t the most famous address in Batumi, but this five-star property sits perfectly positioned where you can feel the city’s energy without being right in the chaos of the main tourist strips.

The thing about this place – and I’ve stayed at quite a few luxury spots along Georgia’s coast – is that they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between contemporary elegance and actually being comfortable. The lobby has this understated sophistication that doesn’t scream “look how expensive we are,” which honestly feels refreshing after visiting some of the more flashy properties downtown. My room had floor-to-ceiling windows that framed the Black Sea beautifully, and I spent way too much time just watching the light change throughout the day. The furnishings feel substantial, not like they’ll fall apart if you actually use them, and there’s enough space to spread out properly – something you can’t always count on even at high-end places.

What really sets ORBI apart, though, is how they handle the details that matter when you’re actually living there for a few days. The soundproofing is excellent (trust me, Batumi can get lively at night), and the air conditioning works without making you feel like you’re sleeping in an arctic cave. I particularly appreciated that they’ve thought through the bathroom situation – proper water pressure, good lighting for getting ready, and toiletries that don’t smell like generic hotel soap. The staff genuinely seems to know the city well, too. When I asked about getting to the Alphabet Tower without dealing with the crowded cable car, the concierge gave me a local route that saved both time and hassle. That’s the kind of insider knowledge that makes a difference. Breakfast impressed me more than I expected – they’ve got both international options and some excellent Georgian dishes, and it’s served in a space with natural light that actually makes you want to linger over coffee instead of grabbing something quick and running out.
