Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Orbi Beach Tower, I wasn’t expecting much from a three-star place. But after spending a few days there last summer, I actually get why it has such crazy high ratings. The thing is, this isn’t your typical hotel experience – you’re basically staying in what feels like a modern apartment building right in the heart of Batumi, and somehow that works perfectly for this city.

The location on Sherif Khimshiashvili Street is honestly brilliant, even if the address sounds intimidating. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the beach, but more importantly, you’re surrounded by all these little Georgian restaurants and cafes that tourists usually miss. I mean, there’s this tiny khachapuri place downstairs that locals line up at every morning – you know you’ve found something good when that happens. The building itself is part of this massive Orbi complex (hence the name), so you’ve got that slightly futuristic vibe going on, which is pretty cool against Batumi’s mix of old Soviet architecture and new developments.

What really surprised me was how well-maintained everything felt for the price point. The apartments – because that’s really what they are – come with proper kitchens, which honestly saved me a fortune since Georgian restaurant portions are huge but sometimes you just want coffee and toast, you know? The ninth floor location means you get decent views, though I’d recommend asking for a room facing the sea if you can. The Wi-Fi actually works (not always a given in this part of the world), and the air conditioning was a lifesaver during those humid August days when Batumi feels like a sauna. I will say the elevators can be a bit slow when the building’s busy, but that’s pretty standard for these newer Batumi developments. The neighborhood gets lively at night – in a good way, mostly – though if you’re a super light sleeper, maybe pack earplugs. But honestly, part of the charm of staying here is falling asleep to the sounds of Georgian conversations drifting up from the street cafes below.

  Апартаменты находятся рядом с пляжем, хорошим парком, торговым центром Metro City. Внизу есть продуктовые магазины.
  Сам номер сделан необычно. Уютный. Достаточно просторный.
  
  What could be improved: Вид с балкона во двор пока строящихся зданий. Моря почти не видно. Но стройка остановлена, так что шума не было.
  
  При заезде одна из панелей над кроватью слетела с крепления и свисала. Пришлось возвращать хозяина, но тот сразу все починил. Правда, при отъезде она опять повисла.
  
  В день заезда отключили воду во всем здании из-за прошедшего сильного дождя и поэтому был сильный запах сырых труб, что странно, т.к. здание новое. Но это проблема всего здания. Когда воду дали, запах прошел.
  
  Вино на фотографии – декорация) Они не дарят вино, как в других апартаментах.
