Orange Batumi Travel Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Orange Batumi Travel on Angisa Street, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this little three-star place tucked away in what’s essentially a dead-end alley. But you know what? Sometimes the best discoveries happen when you’re not looking for them, and this spot absolutely surprised me.
The thing about Batumi is that everyone gravitates toward the flashy seaside hotels with their neon lights and casino vibes, but they’re missing out on places like this that actually give you a feel for how locals live. Orange Batumi Travel sits in this quiet residential pocket where you’ll hear neighbors chatting from their balconies in the evenings rather than the constant hum of tourist traffic. The owner – and I mean this in the best way – runs it more like a guesthouse than a formal hotel, which means you’ll get recommendations for the khachapuri place around the corner that doesn’t have an English sign but makes the best cheese bread in the city. The rooms are clean and comfortable (nothing fancy, but honestly, who needs fancy when you’re spending your days exploring?) and the Wi-Fi actually works consistently, which I’ve learned not to take for granted in this part of the world. What really sold me was the little courtyard area where you can sit with your morning coffee – it’s got this grape vine overhead that creates perfect shade, and somehow the sounds of the city feel distant even though you’re right in the middle of everything.
Here’s what I really appreciated: the location puts you about a fifteen-minute walk from Batumi Boulevard and the beach, but you’re also close to the cable car station if you want to get up to the hills for those Instagram-worthy views of the Black Sea. More importantly, you’re in an actual neighborhood where there’s a small market two blocks away, a pharmacy that’s open late, and that authentic Georgian restaurant I mentioned – Cafe Adjara – that locals actually eat at. The staff speaks decent English, and they’ll call you a taxi without trying to negotiate some commission deal, which unfortunately isn’t always the case around here. I stayed there during shoulder season in October, and while some of the bigger hotels felt half-empty and sort of depressing, this place maintained its cozy atmosphere. Sure, the bathroom could use a small renovation and the street can get a bit noisy when school lets out (there’s a primary school nearby), but these are minor things when you’re paying a fraction of what the waterfront places charge and getting a genuinely local experience in return.

the lady who was checking the place was lovely and the owner was responsive. rooms and beds were quite comfortable. also, they were very clean.
additionally, the location of the apartment is very good.
it was a good time for us and we didn't have much to complain. I can recommend this place.
What could be improved: we had a car and it was very difficult to find a parking spot even though we were there in a not busy season. we were told we would be able to find spots easy.
the drain in the shower was partly blocked I guess. the water was staying at the bottom when we take shower.Sunny, near to the beach flat – Samantha from Germany – November 24, 2024 (10/10)
The apartment was only a few minutes walk to the beach, had lots of sunlight, a stove top to cook, and fast internet. Our host was always in contact with us and very helpful on how to get to the flat, etc. I liked that it was on the second floor so we could walk down instead of waiting for an elevator. I would definitely stay here again!

Very comfortable apartment, close to the beach. Excellent food options nearby! Very friendly host with a cute dog 🙂
What could be improved: One bedroom is quite loud – I think because of the ventilation you can hear sounds from the street
