You know what really struck me about Old Batumi’s Diamond? It’s tucked away on Irakli Abashidze Street, which honestly feels like discovering a little secret in the heart of the old town. I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from the main pedestrian boulevard with all the crazy architecture and street performers, but somehow this spot feels refreshingly quiet – especially in the evenings when the tour groups have cleared out.

The building itself has this charming worn-around-the-edges vibe that actually works in its favor. It’s a three-star place, sure, but the owners clearly put effort into the details that matter. The rooms are surprisingly spacious for Batumi standards, and I loved how they’ve kept some of the original moldings while updating everything else. The beds are properly comfortable – not those rock-hard European mattresses you sometimes get – and the air conditioning actually works, which you’ll appreciate during those humid summer months when the Black Sea breeze isn’t quite enough. What really impressed me was how spotless everything was; the housekeeping staff clearly takes pride in their work.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to experience Batumi like a local rather than just hitting the casino strip. You’re close enough to walk to the beach in about eight minutes (I timed it), but you’re also right in the middle of where actual Georgians hang out. There’s this fantastic little bakery just around the corner that opens at 7 AM – the khachapuri there is incredible and costs maybe two lari. The neighborhood has that authentic Georgian rhythm to it, you know? Old guys playing backgammon in the small parks, kids riding bikes, the occasional grandmother hanging laundry from Soviet-era balconies. It’s real life, not tourist theater. Parking can be a bit tricky during peak season – the streets are narrow and locals definitely claim their spots – but the hotel staff will actually help you figure it out rather than just shrugging. I was pleasantly surprised by how helpful everyone was, actually. The front desk guy spoke decent English and gave me restaurant recommendations that were spot-on, not just the usual tourist traps. With a 9.7 rating, you can tell other travelers have had similar experiences – it’s one of those places where the value and genuine hospitality really shine through, even if it’s not trying to be fancy.

  Отличные апартаменты. Старый город. Чисто. Двухуровневая квартира. До площади Европы сто метров. До моря 15 минут. Много магазинов. Кафе, рестораны рядом. Всё отлично.

  Прекрассное расплложение в центре города.Чистаа, уютная квартира в 7мин. хотьбы от моря. Есть красивый балкон.Техника, посуда, постельное белё_есть всё для комфортного отдыха. Спасибо хозяину (он всегда был на связи) и милой Нино за тёплый прием и прекрассный отдых.

  Всем здравствуйте. Очень понравились данные апартаменты! Уютно, как дома . В квартире есть все необходимое и даже больше ))) техника вся новая , два кондиционера 👍 есть микроволновая печь!!!! Шикарный балкон , соседи радушные , вечерами на балконах болтали 👍 по приезду хозяева угостили бутылочкой грузинского вина, что было очень приятно! Мы тоже везли с собой шоколад казахстанский , но он весь растаял полностью 🥺 к сожалению не смогли ни кого угостить . Но в следующий раз обязательно привезем что то Что точно доедет 🫶 спасибо большое хозяевам , все рассказали, встретили , всегда были на связи . В день отлета разрешили без проблем остаться до 6 вечера так как самолет у нас был аж в 12.00 ночи. Обязательно вернемся 🫶🫶🫶 уже скучаем ! Детям тоже очень понравилось!

  Двухуровневая квартира в старом районе Батуми.
  Два кондиционера создают комфортную температуру независимо от жары/холода на улице. Спальные места, техника, столовые приборы, пастельное.. всего достаточно для проживания!

  Цирк в соседнем доме- мы путешествовали с ребенком; сходили на шоу – ребенок в восторге

  Very good apartment in the center of the city. Equipped with everything you need. Excellent balcony with a view of old Batumi. Giorgi is very friendly. Didn't find any minuses. I recommend it.
