NOVA LUXE Hotel & Residences Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first walked into NOVA LUXE Hotel & Residences, I wasn’t expecting much from the exterior. The building sits quietly on Grigol Lortkipanidze Street, and from the outside, it looks almost understated for what turns out to be a five-star property. But man, was I wrong to judge it by its facade.

The moment you step inside, there’s this immediate shift – the lobby has this sleek, modern feel without being cold or intimidating. What really struck me was how they’ve managed to blend contemporary luxury with touches that actually feel Georgian, not like some generic international chain dropped into Batumi. The staff genuinely seemed to know what they were doing too, which honestly isn’t always a given even at upscale places. I mean, check-in was smooth, they actually had useful recommendations for the neighborhood, and – this might sound small but it matters – they didn’t make me feel rushed or like I was bothering them with questions.

The location is actually pretty smart if you know Batumi at all. You’re far enough from the main tourist chaos near the boulevard that you can actually sleep at night, but close enough that a fifteen-minute walk gets you to all the action. I spent most evenings wandering toward the seaside, and coming back to this quieter street felt like a relief rather than missing out on something. The rooms themselves are spacious – and I mean genuinely spacious, not “spacious for Europe” spacious. Everything feels well thought out, from the bathroom setup to the way they’ve positioned the windows to actually give you decent views without feeling like you’re in a fishbowl. The beds are properly comfortable too, which you’d hope for but don’t always get even at places with high ratings like this one’s 8.3 score suggests.

What I really appreciated was how the residences part works – some of the units have little kitchenettes, which is perfect if you’re staying longer or just want the option to grab some fresh Georgian wine and cheese from the local market and have a quiet evening in. The building tends to attract a mix of business travelers and people like me who wanted something nicer than the standard tourist hotels but didn’t need all the bells and whistles of the massive resort complexes. You know what surprised me most? The elevator actually works reliably, and there’s decent Wi-Fi throughout – sounds basic, but you’d be amazed how many places mess up these fundamentals. If I had one minor gripe, it’s that breakfast service can get a bit hectic during peak season, but the quality makes up for any wait time.

Reviews of NOVA LUXE Hotel & Residences

  • Wonderful stay with friendly staff, cozy rooms, and excellent food. – Maiko from Georgia – September 10, 2025 (10/10)

I highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the staff is friendly, attentive, and welcoming—especially at the reception and in the lounge. The hotel lounge also serves excellent food, which added greatly to the overall experience

What could be improved: On very rare occasions, if the power goes out in Batumi and the casino across the street uses its generator, some noise can be heard in the front rooms of the hotel. Thankfully, this is an uncommon situation and does not affect most stays.

  • Comfortable rooms, great value, not so great location – Bart from Belgium – August 28, 2025 (8/10)

The building and room were very modern, clean and comfortable. Great value for money

What could be improved: Location is quite far away from the centre, or anything fun. Taxi's will be needed to get to anything.

  • Very Good – Francois from Andorra – August 15, 2025 (8/10)

There is a bit to unpack here, good stuff and not so good stuff although nothing dramatic. The bigger conclusion is that this place has enough to offer to keep you entertained for a day or two, while recharging your batteries from your mountain trips. The pool is very nice, the spa is interesting and the restaurants onsite are pretty decent. The room itself is pretty trendy and big enough for our family and although being next to the pool, its not too noisy and pretty enjoyable.

What could be improved: The whole place of Batumi smells of rotting sewage (seriously!) and stepping out/or coming from the mountains you ll definitely see what the city has to offer (…) ; also we asked for the room to be cleaned several times but had to go grab our towels and top ourselves off the shelve…
So, a bit of a mixed feeling about here…

  • Trip to batumi 4 rooms – Hanit from Israel – July 31, 2025 (8/10)

The roons were cosy abd ckean, the staff nice

What could be improved: When i booked 4 rooms, it was not written that swimming pool and gym was not included abd it was additional charge

  • Pleasant stay. – Ganna from Spain – July 19, 2025 (7/10)

Overall nice hotel with beautiful reception. Well decorated. It’s a part of “Steps boutique hotel”. We stayed 10 days, we got clean towels, toilet paper, shower gels/shampoo daily. Cleaning could be more consistent. Check in was easy. Manager Mishka was really helpful, he made our stay nice and pleasant. He was there for us to answer any questions or sort out problems that arose. We were unlucky to have A/C broken for one night but we got fan and it was quickly sorted following morning. Breakfast buffet was too crowded for our liking. SPA experience was exceptional, both lady therapist I tried were highly professional. I did face treatment, full custom body massage and back massage. Restaurant on 3 rd floor is good, tasty food, good service, nice cocktails too. Location benefit from having City Mall 5 min away with all you need, also sea just across the road.

What could be improved: It’s a bit far from old town if you planning to hang out there. Perfect for those who wants to be close to airport.

  • Very Good – Michael from Austria – June 22, 2025 (8/10)

Room nice. Spa nice. Bed very comfortable

What could be improved: A bit far from center where everything is. Will be different in next years since a lot is building at the moment around this area

  • Wonderful – Igal from Israel – June 20, 2025 (9/10)

The rooms are new and very clean. The location is good.

What could be improved: The price don’t include swimming pool and other facilities.

  • Good value for money, but things need to be clarified from the start. On the official website they declare it as a hotel – Kuzmenko from United Arab Emirates – May 10, 2025 (7/10)

Good location, great value for money, excellent facilities, and an extremely helpful team.

What could be improved: The team informed us that cleaning staff would come every day to remove trash and so on. However, no one came throughout our entire stay. Also, the noise from the generator was extremely loud — luckily, we managed to change rooms.

  • Very Good – Svekom from Russia – April 22, 2025 (8/10)

    Clean apartment and good location

What could be improved: Wifi is poor, not possible to work or watch a movie
I was staying during April, so there was quite cold
The sea view is only partial, in front of windows is a big building
Under the windows there is some small construction which produce a lot of noise

  • Fair for the price – Yılmaz from Turkey – February 25, 2025 (7/10)

Comfortable bed and room, very clean room and new furnitures. Nice location, half sea view. Our host Dana, was very attentive and helpful with our issues. She was very friendly and provided information of nice places to visit in Batumi and answered our every question with attention.

What could be improved: Spa was closed. Also because this property basically is an airbnb inside a hotel, you are not a hotel customer. Cannot use amenities free of charge, no room service, no cleaning, just towels and other bathroom supplies are provided every 2 days.
