You know what? I almost walked right past Moshe on Gorgasali Street the first time I was looking for it. It’s tucked between some other buildings in a way that makes it feel more like a local secret than your typical tourist hotel – which, honestly, turned out to be exactly what I was hoping for. This three-star place doesn’t try to be something it’s not, and that’s refreshing in a city where so many hotels are going for that over-the-top luxury vibe.

The thing about staying here is that you’re really in the heart of old Batumi, not just visiting it. I mean, you step out the front door and you’re immediately surrounded by that mix of crumbling Soviet-era architecture and new Georgian energy that makes this neighborhood so interesting. The staff – and I’m talking about people who’ve clearly been working in Batumi hospitality for years – they know which marshrutka to catch to get to the botanical garden without the tourist markup, where to find the best khachapuri at 2 AM (it’s about a three-minute walk, by the way), and they’ll actually tell you when the street festivals are happening instead of trying to sell you an overpriced tour. The rooms are clean and comfortable in that unpretentious way – you’ve got everything you need without a bunch of stuff you don’t, and the beds are surprisingly good for a place that’s not trying to compete with the five-star hotels closer to the boardwalk.

What really sold me on this place, though, was how it feels when you’re actually staying there for more than just a night or two. The neighborhood comes alive in the evenings – you’ll hear families talking on balconies, smell someone grilling mtsvadi in a courtyard, maybe catch some traditional music drifting from one of the small restaurants nearby. It’s not quiet exactly, but it’s the right kind of noise, you know? And honestly, for the price point, you’re getting way more character than you’d find in those generic business hotels that charge twice as much just because they’re newer. The only thing I’d warn you about is that parking can be a bit of an adventure – the streets around here weren’t exactly designed with cars in mind – but the front desk usually has some workaround suggestions if you’re driving.

  Хозяин встретил у дома, рассказал, что есть рядом. В отзывах писали, что грязновато и матрас неудобный, мы этого не заметили все было чисто и очень удобно. В квартире есть стиральная машина и порошок, микроволновка и холодильник. Кондиционер, телевизор, на балконе красивый вид. В общем рекомендую для проживания, местоположение очень удобное

  Очень приятные хозяева. Хорошее место, рассказали что где находится рядом. Тихо, безопасно, не сильно людно. Последний этаж, хороший вид, чисто, вай фай хороший, все удобства, стиральный порошок гель, шампунь, полотенца.

  Room was good and equipped as described. Host was very friendly and helpful. It was easy to communicate when check-in & check-out. Location was close to the center and the apartment is in the walking distance. There are many restaurants and grocery markets around the apartment. View from balcony is nice, it has sea and lake view. Recommended.
