I’ll be honest – when I first walked into Mix Apartments – Orbi Residence Batumi, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from the name alone. But you know what? Sometimes the most interesting places are the ones that don’t fit neatly into a category. This three-star property sits right on Kobaladze Street, and while it’s technically apartment-style accommodation, it feels more like a modern residential building that happens to welcome travelers – which, I mean, is exactly what it is.

The location actually works really well if you’re trying to get a feel for how locals live in Batumi. You’re not stuck in some tourist bubble near the boulevard – instead, you’re in a proper neighborhood where you’ll hear Georgian conversations drifting from balconies and smell someone’s grandmother cooking khachapuri in the morning. The building itself is part of that whole Orbi complex development, so it’s got that clean, contemporary Georgian architecture thing going on. I found the apartments surprisingly spacious, with proper kitchens that you can actually cook in (not those sad hotel kitchenettes with a broken hot plate). The furniture’s decent quality too – nothing fancy, but comfortable enough that I didn’t feel like I was camping indoors.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. Sure, during the day there’s the usual city sounds, but by evening it settles into this peaceful residential rhythm. The staff – well, they’re more like building managers than hotel concierges – are genuinely helpful without being overly formal about it. When I needed directions to the local marshrutka stop, the guy at reception actually walked outside to point out the exact corner where I should wait. That kind of personal touch you just don’t get at the big chain places. The building’s got decent Wi-Fi throughout, parking spaces that don’t cost extra (trust me, that matters in Batumi), and the whole setup feels safe and secure. I noticed quite a few long-term residents mixed in with the short-term guests, which honestly made the place feel more authentic. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the elevators can be a bit slow during busy times, but that’s pretty standard for residential buildings here. If you’re looking for that traditional hotel experience with room service and a lobby bar, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want a comfortable base where you can live a bit like a local – making your own coffee in the morning, storing leftovers from those massive Georgian meals – then this place hits the sweet spot between comfort and authenticity.

  What could be improved: The owner answered the call as if you are asking for small coin in the metrohall. Every time as it's a huge favour and hard job.
  The elevator: you need to use a card to start, but the card is not working. Only one card for two adults for the elevator, only one for roomkey . Noone really cares .
  The heater didn't work, the room was rather cold,no central heating, only one blanket, the bedclothes with a hole, no dishsoap or sponge for washing, (still they provide a pan, spoons and plates)
  No WiFi password, you need to call the owner, but he gonna answer as if you came to his own house for free.

  What could be improved: Dirty apartment, which was cleaned only when we asked, however below matrass it was still dirty.
  I would not recommend to stay there, payment only in cash and it difficult to do the payment as owner is not there permanently

  The apartment has all needed amenities, and great location, one of the best buildings to stay at in Batumi. But I cannot recommend here to anyone.
  
  What could be improved: The host is unresponsive. It did not matter if I wrote in English, Georgian, or Russian. He does not answer in a normal time. I will give 2 examples.
  1) I did not see the wifi password noted in the apartment, so I asked him. He messaged me with the password after 50 minutes. I quickly tried it, and saw that it was blocked. I told him, and showed him a screenshot. And he never replied. I ended up paying for my own personal internet on my phone to watch movies and videos, as he never let me know if he will fix the internet or not.
  2) After leaving, I realised we left one of our own personal towels. I sent the host a photo that showed the room had extra towels, and asked him in Georgian, Russian, and English if we could please get our extra towel back. He never answered. He read and never answered. This is 2 weeks later.
  Imagine if anything serious were to happen – maybe damage in a storm or something like this – the host will still ignore the guest?
  They could have written in any language and it would be translated. This man just wants to collect money and not help with any guests' queries.

  It was close to the mall, convenient to eat there.
  
  What could be improved: Everything was old and dirty, the kitchen cabinet smelled bad, the white bed sheet was gray-ish(had only one, i had to use the bed cover to sleep at night) the lighting was poor in the evenings, all the pillows and blankets were dirty with big yellow marks, no room cleaning, no additional supplies, we bought ourselves new toilet paper, and the owner was very busy so he only showed up to give us the key and take the payment and we didnt see him after that. Also the location is pretty noisy, on a very crowded street, you hear traffic, car honks and street fighting all the time. Stayed at better places for that price.

  Апартаменты уютные и чистые. Номер разделен на две зоны: зона гостиная-кухня и отделенная стеной с дверью спальня с большой кроватью и выходом на балкон. В спальне есть кондиционер, спать было не жарко.

  Отдыхали в апартаментах в июне 2024. Всё было хорошо! Прекрасное местоположение, пляж в 5ти минутах, рядом магазины и рестораны. В номере есть всё для комфортного проживания! Лифт в здании всегда свободен, хорошая шумоизоляция номеров, чисто! Очень приятный хозяин, реагировал незамедлительно на все наши просьбы! Обязательно приедем ещё!
