M55 Studios Overview

You know what really struck me about M55 Studios when I first walked in? It doesn’t try to be something it’s not. This three-star spot on Melikishvili street has this refreshingly honest vibe – clean, modern, and surprisingly well-thought-out for what you’re paying. The location is actually perfect if you want to feel like you’re staying where Batumi locals actually live, rather than being stuck in the touristy bubble down by the beach.

The studios themselves are legit – I mean, they’re not huge, but whoever designed them actually understands how people travel these days. The kitchenette setup is practical enough that you could honestly make breakfast or heat up some khachapuri from the bakery around the corner (which, by the way, opens at 7 AM and smells incredible). The Wi-Fi is solid throughout the building, and honestly, the soundproofing is way better than I expected. I barely heard the street noise, which surprised me since Melikishvili can get pretty busy during the day with all the marshrutkas and local traffic.

What I really appreciated was how the staff just… gets it. They’re not overly formal or trying to upsell you on everything, but they know Batumi inside and out. When I asked about getting to the old town, they didn’t just point toward the tourist spots – they told me which streets to walk down to actually see how the city works, where to grab the best adjarian wine, and which days the local market is worth visiting. The whole building has this quiet efficiency to it – check-in was smooth, the elevators actually work (not always a given in this part of the world), and there’s this little courtyard area that catches the morning sun perfectly. I spent way more time there with my coffee than I planned to, just watching the neighborhood wake up. It’s the kind of place where you get a 9.2 rating not because everything is fancy, but because everything just works the way it should.

  We had a wonderful stay in Batumi! The accommodation was cozy and comfortable, with a private fully equipped bathroom. The host was extremely kind, spoke excellent English, and even recommended us a fantastic restaurant just around the corner. There were also lots of adorable cats around, which made the place even more charming. We also really appreciated the flexible check-out. Highly recommended!
  
  What could be improved: The only thing that was kind of inconvenient was that the AC is in the hall outside of our room, so we had to have our door open a lot.

  The owner was very friendly and nice, always was easy to contact and gave us everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Location is central and everything is easy to access. The studio is nice and comfortable, we had everything we needed for our 4 days stay. The owner Luba also has many pets you can relax with in the yard after a stressful day.
