Lux Apartaments Overview

You know what caught me off guard about Lux Apartaments? Walking up to this unassuming building on Sherif Khimshiashvili Street, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from a three-star place. But stepping inside – well, let’s just say whoever designed these apartments actually gets what travelers need. The space feels surprisingly generous, with proper kitchenettes that aren’t just for show (I mean, you can actually cook a real meal here), and the beds are these wonderfully firm mattresses that don’t leave you feeling like you wrestled with a pretzel all night.

What really sold me on this place, though, is the location situation. You’re tucked away on this quiet residential street that most tourists completely miss, but here’s the thing – you’re literally a ten-minute walk from Batumi’s main drag along the Black Sea. I’d wake up, grab coffee from that little café around the corner (the owner speaks perfect English, by the way), and stroll down to the waterfront without dealing with all the hotel zone chaos. The apartments themselves have these large windows that actually open – revolutionary concept, right? – so you get proper fresh air instead of that recycled hotel AC smell. Parking was surprisingly hassle-free too, which anyone who’s driven around Batumi’s old town will tell you is basically a miracle.

The staff here runs things more like a boutique guesthouse than a typical apartment rental. Check-in was this refreshingly human experience – no corporate scripts or upselling attempts, just genuine recommendations about where to eat and which marshrutkas to avoid during rush hour. Honestly, with a 9.6 rating, I was expecting maybe some inflated reviews, but after spending five nights there, I get it. It’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but everything works exactly as it should. The Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out during video calls, the hot water pressure is actually decent, and the neighborhood stays pleasantly quiet even on weekend nights when the tourist areas turn into complete mayhem. If you’re looking for that sweet spot between local authenticity and reliable comfort in Batumi, this is honestly one of the better finds I’ve stumbled across.

To book a hotel in Batumi during major cultural festivals, travelers need early planning as this vibrant Georgian resort draws visitors eager to experience its subtropical climate and modern seaside architecture.

  • Amazing sunset – Flora from Belgium – March 30, 2024 (9/10)

The view of the sea & the mountains, the most beautiful sunsets on 37th floor, bloc C, the location is perfect, everything is near by from restaurants, grocery stores, public transportation to money exchange offices. The building's environment is so touristic & it's busy all the time. Clean studio. There's a washing machine in the bathroom, a micowave, a big refrigerator & enough utensils to cook a simple meal in the kitchen because there's no hood. The air-conditioning works very well, quite, heats very quickly during the cold days, especially if you take a shower because there's no heating in the bathroom. I extended my stay because of the view. Batumi is a beautiful city. If you like walking, you can reach all the famous places on your feet. I'll come to Batumi again for sure.

What could be improved: The most annoying thing during my stay was the neighbor's kid who screams day & night, this literally ruined my sleep & my mood, not soundproofed accommodation. The windows were not clean, dusty. Cleaning service isn't included in the price, you have to pay 40GEL for it, the cleaning lady will come to clean the studio & change the sheets. I asked for a late checkout till 5 p.m. the landlord told me to pay 30 GEL for 5 hours, which was unpleasant when the price of one night is 40 GEL!
