Legacy Hotel Overview

I’ll be honest, when I first walked up to Legacy Hotel on Angisa Street, I wasn’t expecting much – the exterior is pretty understated, almost easy to miss if you’re not looking for the address. But man, was I wrong about judging this place too quickly. This four-star spot has this quietly sophisticated thing going on that really grew on me during my stay.

The thing about staying in Batumi is that location can make or break your experience, and Legacy nailed it here. You’re basically a ten-minute walk from the Boulevard where all the evening action happens, but far enough from the main tourist chaos that you actually get some peace at night. I mean, you’ll still hear the occasional late-night reveler, but it’s not like those places right on Rustaveli where the party literally never stops. The staff – and this surprised me – actually remembered my name after the first day, which doesn’t happen often at hotels this size. Their English is solid too, though they seemed genuinely excited when I attempted a few words in Georgian (badly, I should add).

What really won me over was how they handle the little things that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The room had this massive window that I could actually open – you know how rare that’s becoming? – and the air conditioning didn’t sound like a jet engine, which honestly made all the difference during those sticky July nights. The bathroom was properly modern without being sterile, and they’d clearly invested in a good shower head because the water pressure was fantastic. I also appreciated that they didn’t go overboard with the breakfast spread – it’s quality over quantity, with really good Georgian cheese and bread alongside the usual international stuff. The coffee was actually drinkable, which, let’s face it, isn’t always a given in this part of the world. My only real complaint is that the Wi-Fi gets a bit spotty on the higher floors during peak hours, but honestly, maybe that’s not such a bad thing when you’re trying to disconnect anyway. For what you’re paying – especially compared to some of the flashier places closer to the beach – Legacy delivers exactly what it promises without the tourist trap markup.

Hotels in Batumi offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this coastal gem, with easy access to historic districts, vibrant nightlife, and renowned Black Sea beaches.

Reviews of Legacy Hotel

  • Good – Huseynzade from Azerbaijan – August 9, 2025 (7/10)

    Rooms and staff

What could be improved: Location is not good and breakfast is really weak

  • I enjoyed the several days that I spent here – Hans from Portugal – July 22, 2025 (8/10)

Adquate breakfast with some variety and some daily variation. Walking distance to the beach, Metro City Mall and Nos. 3 and 10 bus routes. Busses accept contactless cards. From 23h00 to 07h00 it was generally quiet. Room was comfortable.

What could be improved: Musty smell from drains in the bathroom; covering the drains helped. Hotel situated in a booming part of the city with plenty daytime construction at the moment. Surrounded by tall buildings, so not much view. Some furniture for the balcony would be nice for a cup of morning coffee. The desk in the room awkward to use.

  • Very Good – Inessa from Israel – July 17, 2025 (8/10)

Air conditioning is great, big rooms

What could be improved: Breakfast was not so good

We recently stayed at Legacy Hotel in Batumi with two group bookings for 28 guests on separate dates, and both stays were exceptional. The hotel is immaculately clean, and their team went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were met. From their caring and responsive service to the comfortable accommodations, we had a wonderful experience. We’re already planning to return soon! A big thank you to the management and staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

They have not tea and coffe in the rooms

  • Good place to stay as family – Amany from Kuwait – August 7, 2024 (8/10)

Nice and clean and the room was big

What could be improved: Little far and little expensive

  • Fair accomodation, simple but ok. – Alexandre from Brazil – July 20, 2024 (7/10)

Spacious and comfortable room, good breakfast, parking for the car.

What could be improved: Toilet was not very clean, breakfast starts too late (9 am), location not very good (in a narrow street, lots of traffic jam).
