The rooms themselves are spacious enough that you’re not bumping into furniture every time you turn around, and the beds are properly firm (thank goodness, because some places here go way too soft). What I really appreciated was the soundproofing – Batumi can get lively, especially during summer evenings when everyone’s out walking the boulevard, but inside you get actual quiet.

Here’s the thing about the location that the booking sites don’t really capture: you’re positioned perfectly to avoid the chaos of the main tourist strip while still being able to walk to everything that matters. The Batumi Boulevard is maybe a five-minute stroll, but you’re far enough back that you don’t get the constant stream of people and music that can drive you nuts if you’re trying to sleep. There’s this little local bakery two blocks over that opens ridiculously early – around 6 AM – and makes these Georgian cheese pastries that are honestly better than anything you’ll find in the hotel restaurants downtown. The parking situation is actually manageable too, which anyone who’s driven in Batumi will tell you is no small feat.

I stayed there during what turned out to be a particularly busy weekend in late spring, and the service never felt rushed or overwhelmed. The housekeeping team clearly takes pride in their work – I came back one afternoon to find they’d not only cleaned everything perfectly but had arranged my scattered chargers and adapters neatly on the bedside table. Small detail, but it’s those touches that stick with you. The breakfast spread is solid without being overwhelming, though I’d recommend getting there before 9 AM if you want the good stuff – the Georgian pastries go fast, and honestly, they should.

What really sold me on this place was realizing it’s run by people who understand that travelers want comfort and efficiency without unnecessary fuss. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building, the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine, and when I needed to extend my stay by a day, they sorted it out in about thirty seconds. For a city that’s still figuring out its tourism infrastructure in some ways, that kind of smooth operation is genuinely refreshing.

  The staff are friendly and helpful.
  The street is a one way street and is usually quiet at night because there are no clubs or bars in the hotel's vicinity.
  The air conditioning works well and is silent.
  The beds are comfortable.
  Many shops, supermarkets and cafes in the vicinity and they are open 24/7 or very late at night.
  The room is small but very well designed. .
  
  What could be improved: I am surprised nobody mentioned this but the hotel has a problem with the sewage smell in the bathroom.
  It is not a constant feature but the unmistakably fowl scent hit my nose on a few occasions during my five night stay.
  
  I understood this problem persists in other rooms because the same sewage smell was evident in the wc on the lobby level.
  
  The water in the shower in my room (904) was lukewarm (it never got very hot).
  
  I always switched the air conditioning off and opened the window before showering else I would get too cold when showering 🚿
