But you know what? That’s actually part of its charm. This three-star spot sits right on ulitsa Pushkina, and while it might not have the polished sheen of those big chain hotels, there’s something genuinely welcoming about the place that grows on you pretty quickly.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re actually experiencing Batumi rather than just passing through it. You’re close enough to hear the buzz of the city – sometimes a little too close if you’re a light sleeper, I mean the street can get lively in the evenings – but it’s the kind of authentic neighborhood energy that makes you feel connected to the place. The rooms are clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but they’ve got character, and the staff actually seems to care about whether you’re having a good time. I remember the woman at reception giving me these incredibly detailed directions to a local bakery that wasn’t in any guidebook, complete with hand gestures and warnings about which corner to turn at. The WiFi works fine (important for those of us who can’t completely disconnect), and while the bathroom fixtures have clearly seen better days, everything functions properly.

What really sets this place apart though is how it manages to feel both local and welcoming to outsiders – you’ll see Georgian families celebrating birthdays in the common areas alongside backpackers planning their next move to Armenia. The breakfast isn’t elaborate, but it’s real food made by people who actually cook, not just assembled from packages. And here’s something I appreciated: they don’t try to oversell what they are. It’s not trying to be a luxury experience, it’s just trying to be a good, honest place to stay while you explore the city. With an 8.4 rating, clearly other travelers have picked up on this too. The price point makes sense for what you get, and honestly, after staying in some sterile business hotels that cost twice as much, there’s something refreshing about a place that has personality, even if that personality includes slightly creaky floorboards and wallpaper that’s probably been there since the early 2000s.

• Неплохое место, до пляжа минут 15 пешком, рядом есть кафе. Нет штор, нет шторки в ванной – Maxim from Georgia – August 18, 2025 (7/10)

  Рядом много кафе и всего остального. До пляжа 15 минут, пару раз сходили — норм. Кровать удобная, есть фен и кондиционер. Отвечали в чате очень быстро
  
  What could be improved: Белье будто не стираное (что по виду, что по запаху, сложно сказать, но было не очень приятно);
  Белье синтетическое, электризуется;
  
  Самые большие проблемы:
  Нет штор в комнате (хотя гуляют в кафе напротив до 11-12), спать без них может быть проблематичным;
  Нет шторки в ванной — вода по ванной, всё размазывается, ходить по мокрому — да и не зайти после помывки в туалет, чтобы не намочить ноги. Мы даже чистили зубы на кухне

  Заселялись поздно, договорились с хозяином о самостоятельном заезде – проблем не вознникло. Оплатили проживание на следующее утро.
  Неплохое расположение, много места, есть кухня, и вроде бы всё для готовки.
  Ну и название – Дом Колотушкина на улице Пушкина продало нам этот вариант 🙂
  
  What could be improved: Пол в комнате был несколько грязный, можно добавить шторку в ванну, и органайзер для столовых приборов на кухне. Дверь на балкон не закрывалась на ключ, хотя, судя по всему, должна была.
  В остальном – никаких проблем.

  Das Apartment befindet sich in einem guten Ort, nähe von dem Strand. In der Umgebunf gibt es viele Restaurants, Supermarkts und Apotheken. Das Apartments war "mittelsauber", Personal war ganz nett. Ich durfte früher einchecken. Durchschnittlich 7-8 von 10!
  
  What could be improved: Straße ist zu laut, es gab keine Tücher im Badenzimmer.

  Много места, есть кухня, удобная кровать.
  В целом всё отлично, кроме пары нюансов.
  
  What could be improved: Не хватает нормальных штор на окнах, висела только тюль и вечером было кекомфортно, так как окна выходили на улицу оживленную и ресторан.
  
  Нужна шторка в душ до пола, иначе вся ванна вечно мокрая.
  
  И было бы отлично поставить стиральную машину.
