Hotel Tsereteli Palace Overview

You know what caught me off guard about Hotel Tsereteli Palace? Walking up Zurab Gorgiladze Street, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from the exterior – it’s sort of tucked between these typical Soviet-era buildings – but then you step inside and it’s like someone transported a proper European boutique hotel right into the heart of Batumi. The lobby actually made me do a double-take with its marble floors and these really elegant chandeliers that don’t feel overdone or tacky like some places try to pull off.

I mean, this four-star place gets the details right in ways that matter when you’re actually staying somewhere. The rooms are genuinely spacious – and I’m not just saying that because I’ve been cramped in tiny European hotels for weeks. The beds are properly comfortable (you sink in just enough without feeling like you’re drowning), and the bathrooms have this nice rainfall shower situation that actually works. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night, even though you’re basically in the middle of everything. The windows must be decent quality because Batumi can get pretty lively, especially during summer when the whole city seems to stay up until 3 AM.

The staff there – honestly, some of the most helpful people I’ve encountered in Georgia, and that’s saying something because Georgians are naturally hospitable. They actually know the neighborhood, so when I asked about finding authentic khachapuri that wasn’t touristy, they sent me to this tiny place about two blocks away that I never would have found otherwise. And here’s something practical that matters: they’ve got reliable Wi-Fi throughout the building (I was working remotely part of the time) and the air conditioning actually keeps up during those sticky August days when Batumi feels like a sauna. The breakfast spread is solid too – nothing fancy, but they do these perfect Georgian pastries alongside the usual continental stuff. You’re a five-minute walk from the Boulevard and the beach, but far enough from the main drag that you’re not dealing with crowds of drunk tourists stumbling around at all hours. For what you pay, especially considering that 9.2 rating reflects real guest experiences, it’s honestly one of those places where you feel like you got more than you bargained for.

Hotels in Batumi offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this coastal gem, with easy access to historic districts, vibrant nightlife, and renowned Black Sea beaches.

Good condicioner, good beds, good breakfast, good stuff, in Batumi is very hard to find something like Tsereteli. Almost all rooms are reserved because people know that this hotel is good. • Wonderful – Boris from Israel – August 8, 2025 (9/10)

Nice hotel in convenient location (very close to a nice park, sea, city center). Owner’s attitude is just fabulous. Mamuka was so friendly and helpful! Breakfast was good, always hot and cold choices, juice, watermelon, some sweets for coffee.

What could be improved: Actually it is not about hotel itself – weather was very humid, drizzly all the time.
