The name isn’t just marketing fluff – they actually delivered on that sea view promise in a way that made me stop mid-stride. I mean, Batumi‘s got plenty of hotels claiming waterfront views, but this five-star place sits at just the right angle where you’re looking straight out over the Black Sea without any of those awkward partial obstructions you get elsewhere along the coast.

The thing about this spot is it’s positioned where the old meets the absurdly modern – you’ve got Batumi’s famous dancing fountains and that wild alphabet tower within walking distance, but you’re not dealing with the constant chaos of the main tourist strip. Honestly, I appreciated being able to step outside without immediately being surrounded by street performers and souvenir hawkers. The rooms themselves have this clean, almost Scandinavian vibe that somehow works perfectly with the Georgian hospitality. What I really loved was how the staff seemed to anticipate things without being intrusive – like, they’d have towels ready by the time you mentioned wanting to hit the beach, but they weren’t hovering around making you feel watched.

The breakfast situation deserves a mention because it’s where you really see the local touch shining through. Sure, there’s the standard international hotel spread, but they also had these incredible khachapuri variations and Georgian honey that I’m pretty sure came from somewhere nearby in Adjara. The dining room gets this golden morning light that bounces off the water, and I found myself lingering way longer than usual just watching the cargo ships drift by in the distance. One small thing – the elevators can get a bit crowded during peak check-in times around 3 PM, but honestly, with views like these from the upper floors, the wait feels worth it. I’d definitely recommend booking a sea-facing room if you can swing it, because while the city-view rooms are perfectly nice, you’re really here for that endless water stretching toward Turkey.
