I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Hotel Orbi Plaza on Kobaladze Street, I wasn’t expecting much from this three-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the unassuming spots surprise you the most. The building itself is pretty straightforward, nothing fancy about the exterior, but once you’re inside, there’s this welcoming vibe that just feels right.

The location is actually perfect if you want to experience Batumi like a local rather than being stuck in the tourist bubble down by the Boulevard. Kobaladze Street is one of those residential areas where you’ll hear Georgian conversations drifting from balconies in the morning, and there’s a little bakery just around the corner that makes these incredible khachapuri – I mean, the cheese is still bubbling when they hand it to you. The rooms are clean and comfortable, though I’d say the Wi-Fi can be a bit spotty on the higher floors (learned that the hard way during a work call). What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – you’re far enough from the main party zones that you can actually sleep, but close enough that a quick marshrutka ride gets you to the seaside action in about ten minutes.

The staff here genuinely seems to care, which honestly isn’t always a given at this price point. When I mentioned I was looking for a good place to try Georgian wine, the front desk guy – I think his name was Giorgi – actually drew me a little map to this family-run cellar that definitely wasn’t in any guidebook. That’s the kind of local insight you just don’t get at the big chain places. The breakfast is simple but solid – fresh bread, local cheese, and coffee that’s strong enough to wake the dead. Sure, the elevator makes this concerning grinding noise, and the shower pressure could be better, but there’s something authentic about staying here that makes those minor inconveniences feel irrelevant. If you’re the type of traveler who values character over polish, and wants to feel connected to the real rhythm of the city rather than insulated from it, this place delivers exactly what you need.

  Место хорошее , есть все удобства. Было очень приятно и комфортно. Я бы сходил туда ещё.

  What could be improved: Единственное замечание по поводу некоторой мебели в номере. У шкафа поломаны дверки и была уже очень убитая и поломанная раскладушка. Сразу не было полного комплекта полотенец, но их по просьбе принести. Ещё не было мыла в дозаторе. А так все было хорошо. И ещё одна просьба – если заселяется семья, то одной карточки на всех мало. Хотя бы две или три на семью из 5 человек

  Comfortable sofa and bed, has hot water, it’s good size to fit 4 people, good but dirty air conditioning.
  
  What could be improved: Broken kettle, mosquitoes when open balcony and few dead ones in the bathroom, no soap for washing dishes and no sponge, has few utensils for cooking, few towels had to argue with hotel staff to get more, loud construction noises from down the road, damaged sofa and parts of the house are broken, moldy bathroom shower, ventilator in shower not working

  Номер был убран великолепно. Все очень понравилось, расположение отличное, до пляжа 5 минут. Такси Яндекс за 5.6 лари и через 5 минут, в старом Батуми. Отличный кухонный уголок, все необходимое для приготовления пищи есть.
  Нет микроволной печи, но был чайник, электрическая печь. Сотрудники на рецепшен всегда были отзывчивые, помогли оплатить штраф. Номер был, как на фото в Букинге.
  Единственный минус забыли про уборку в номере и смену полотенец.
  Когда напомнили, сразу поменяли полотенца.
  Как оказалось, уборка была положена один раз а три дня, мы этого не знали.
