You know what struck me first about Hotel Aisi? It’s tucked away on this interesting corner where Gorgasali meets Griboedovi Street, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better if you actually want to experience Batumi rather than just pass through it. I mean, you’re right in the heart of things but not drowning in the chaos that some of the beachfront places can get – especially during those crazy summer months when the whole Georgian coast goes absolutely mad with visitors.

The building itself has this sort of understated charm that I wasn’t expecting from a four-star place. Nothing flashy or trying too hard, just solid and welcoming. The lobby’s got these warm tones that immediately make you feel like you can actually relax, which is saying something after navigating Batumi’s delightfully chaotic streets. Check-in was smooth – the staff genuinely seemed to care about making sure I knew where everything was, not just going through the motions. They pointed out a couple of local spots that weren’t in any guidebook I’d seen, which always tells you something about a place.

What really won me over, though, was how the hotel sits in the neighborhood. You can walk to the old town’s cobblestone streets in maybe ten minutes, but you’re also close enough to hear the buzz of modern Batumi without the constant noise keeping you up at night. The area around Griboedovi Street has these fantastic little cafes that locals actually use – not just tourist traps – and there’s something magical about having your morning coffee while watching the city wake up around you. The rooms themselves are well-designed without being sterile, and I appreciated the attention to details like actually good lighting and windows that open properly. You know how some hotels skimp on the basics while spending money on flashy lobbies? This isn’t that. The whole experience feels genuine, from the comfortable beds to the fact that the wifi actually works consistently. With an 8.9 rating, you’d expect things to run smoothly, and they do – but more importantly, there’s a warmth here that makes you want to come back to Batumi just to stay at this particular spot again.

  An older hotel, but has been maintained very well, modern facilities, extremely clean ….. and the breakfast, oh the breakfast, we walked into the breakfast room and the buffet table just went in and on and on. Great selection of food, well prepared.
  
  What could be improved: The railings on the balconies, the bars are horizontal and quite widely spaced. I would be worried if I had a young child with me that they could climb up them (like a ladder) or crawl through them.
