HelloBatumi Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to HelloBatumi on Sherif Khimshiashvili Street, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from the name. It sounds more like a cheerful greeting than a hotel, but you know what? That actually turned out to be pretty fitting. This four-star place has this welcoming, almost playful vibe that immediately puts you at ease, which is exactly what you want after dealing with Georgian marshrutka drivers or the chaos of the border crossing.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to experience Batumi like someone who actually lives there rather than just hitting the casino strip. You’re tucked away on a quieter street but still close enough to everything – I could walk to the botanical garden in about fifteen minutes, and the old town is basically around the corner. What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to genuinely know the city. When I asked about good khachapuri spots (because let’s face it, that’s crucial), they didn’t just point me toward tourist traps but actually recommended this tiny place where locals eat breakfast. The rooms themselves are clean and modern without being sterile – they’ve got this contemporary Georgian style that works really well. I mean, the bathroom was definitely nicer than I expected, and the bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with the mattress all night.

Here’s something that matters more than you’d think – the neighborhood actually gets quiet at night. A lot of Batumi can be pretty rowdy during summer, especially near the beach hotels, but this street settles down after dinner time. You can sleep with your windows open and hear the city breathing instead of partying until 3 AM. The breakfast was solid too, though nothing revolutionary – good Georgian bread, decent coffee, and they usually had some local cheese that was worth trying. One small thing that annoyed me was that the Wi-Fi got a bit spotty on the upper floors, but honestly, that might have been a blessing in disguise since I actually explored the city instead of doom-scrolling. If you’re looking for a place that feels authentically Batumi without sacrificing comfort, and you want to stay somewhere that locals might actually recommend to their friends, this is a really good choice. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but sometimes that’s exactly what makes a hotel memorable.

Reviews of HelloBatumi

  • Very Good – Marina from Germany – September 7, 2025 (8/10)

    Location, Room, View, Price

    What could be improved: Elevators

  • Nice place with everything you need – Ginta from Latvia – December 4, 2024 (8/10)

The balcony offered a beautiful view of the sea and promenade. The bed linen and towels were clean and sufficient for all guests. Kitchen utensils—dishes for preparing and serving food—were available. Since we had rather unpleasantly cool weather in Batumi, air conditioners were available in every room, and it was possible to warm up.

What could be improved: The management of the apartment could be better, the cleaning of the apartment is done only after the customer has checked out. The shower and toilet room often smell of sewage (probably due to the high floor). Orbi houses facing the sea are lit up in the evenings, so you need curtains so as not to disturb your sleep. However, one curtain was missing in our room and we found them in the closet without the possibility to put them back, because someone had torn them off earlier. I also recommend checking the air conditioner and TV remote controls to see if they work. The higher the floor, the longer you will wait for the elevator and the longer it will take you to get down

  • Good – Ahlam from Kuwait – September 4, 2024 (7/10)

    Near everything I want

What could be improved: No home service

  • Great value for the money and reliable host, for those looking apt at Orbi City – Nika from Georgia – August 21, 2024 (9/10)

The apartment was quite clean. All the necessary items were provided (towels, hotel slippers, shower gel and shampoo, etc.). Check in was easy and smooth, no delayes. Same for the checkout. Considering the high demand at that time, the price was quite acceptable. View was nice, overlooking the sea.

What could be improved: I would suggest the onwer to add a floor mop to the property, because the toilet floor usually gets wet and messy and there was no mop to clean it up, unfortunately.

As with the high demand in August, there were queues at the elevator, but fortunately we did not have to wait for long. It depends on the timing, I guess.

  • Wonderful – Shahen from Armenia – July 12, 2024 (9/10)

The location is amazing, the flat itself is clean and cozy. Everything is as described, the balcony opens a nice view to the sea, and the beach is 3min away by walking.

What could be improved: Wi-Fi was unstable and slow. Experienced the problem during the whole stay of 5 days.
Not flat related, but the elevators of the building are always busy during rush hours. Sometimes it would take 20-25min to catch an lift from 19th floor.

  • Wonderful – Tracyann from United Arab Emirates – September 1, 2023 (9/10)

the views were fantastic and the location is right where the action is.

What could be improved: Self cleaning the Apartment. Would have been nicer if the apartment was serviced.

What could be improved: At the first day problems finding the property, second day card from room stopped working, room was booked for 6 nights , and staff said it expired after one and didnt know nothing about it, boiler not turned on so no warm water at first night.

  • Very Good – Gabrielė from Lithuania – June 24, 2023 (8/10)

  • Very Good – Evgeny from Cyprus – September 22, 2022 (8/10)
